There's never been serious commitment from The Club. Maybe we should send J Rod an email.

If you do engage the club to set up an official account, I'd suggest passing on some of the learnings we have had with ours:

1) it kills bs rumours very quick. You know the ones, that so and so is injured, on the outs, a slacker, etc. Stig has jumped on our threads quite often to let us know someone is training today, working with key staff, or in the gym at certain times. The rumours then tend to die very quickly.

2) he NEVER comments on onfield stuff. So if there is a fear of disclosing selection info, tactics, etc, this is killed by making clear he will never engage these questions (he doesn't even reply now, just ignores them)

3) it's a great way of getting a heads up to members when certain things are happening. He often gives us info on the merch sales, or arrangements for finals tickets. Tbh, it's great to discuss these issues with him online than ring the club

4) it's a conduit for greater inquiry or complaints (outside on field stuff). Posters have advised him of probs with membership, match day arrangements, or even clinics, and he has ensured the complaint gets to the right people and is followed up. He has also been brilliant in live comments during streaming events, if audio/connection issues are occurring (so we know how long it will take to fix, if at all)

Fwiw having him on our board is great, and it's one of the smarter things the club has done for fan engagement

The club has had someone, but....he seems to pay more attention to Blitz, or twitter than here at BF. Might need a reminder, has been helpful with queries. etc.

We've tried. Perhaps it's a symptom of what's going on and the club's reluctance to expose itself to too much heat online in that context, but we haven't had much success.

After a while you just kind of shrug your shoulders and move on.

Yep, saw there was an old account. Rarely used.ON BB, they stared a thread looking for feedback on the club website, and Bomber TV. And were active enough in that. Maybe not daily, but answered enough as it came up.

Doesn't have to be daily, but some basic recognition would be nice.

Anyway, we digress.

Got to ask yourself why would Dank receive an infraction notice and not Dean Robinson? Robinson oversaw the program and injected players. I'd guess Robinson is ASADA's man - in another words the mole. And Robinson clearly has a vendetta against Hird and EFC.

If he's done a deal with ASADA they'll hold off on him until everyone else they are after is done and dusted.

You mean like naming players under investigation in news paper last year?
I'm just trying to get to the bottom of whether this so called doc that suggests that a player has made admissions re thymosin 4 is legit.

Presumably it can't be if the media hasn't reported on it?

This again from Robbo
Robbo said:
Essendon players will not participate in any AFL-sanctioned games unless they are guaranteed any possible suspensions will be backdated to last year, says Mark Robinson.

The chief football writer for the Herald Sun believes the Bombers will not participate unless they can be assured any suspension will start from the last time they played in 2014.

“If Essendon is playing in the NAB Challenge and this hearing hasn’t handed down its decision, then if they play and there is no backdating then that would be deemed their last game (from where the suspension would start),” explained Robinson on SEN radio.

“So the players, I’ve been told, will not play unless they get a guarantee it will be backdated.

Furthermore, the club will have the same attitude towards the regular season that starts for the Bombers on April 4 against Sydney.

“(There has to be a decision before the season starts) because I’m telling you Essendon players won’t play Round One,” said Robinson.

Fairly strongly believes this, if not been directly told, it seems. I hope this is just a way of putting pressure on the tribunal to resolve things quickly, rather than a growing fear of suspension from the players.

Sounds like players will probably get suspended fml.

This whole thing is ******* stupid.
Manufactured results are never in doubt when the power players have too much to lose
