Shows simply the bias of FFA/Galloped etc etc with the venue selection. Melbourne should have got the semi and 3rd place playoff and failing that Brisbane.

Surely it would have made sense to at least have Australia v (likely) Japan at Stadium Australia with the other semi played at the Hunter?

Heck, even Adelaide or Perth would have been more fitting (this coming from a guy who supports the Jets too) to host such an importance and high profile match.

Would dearly love to see UAE cause an upset with Japan - IMO, Japan would have a mental edge against us having generally gotten the better of results in our last few matches (including winning the final of the last Asian cup).

The ******s running the FFA should have kept venuesanonymous until they saw who was playing to rig it or picked an alternative venue in a big city.

The FFA don't do the scheduling. The AFC does. And personally I don't see why the semi finals can't be swapped.

Why is there only ONE out of EIGHT games in the knockout stage that is being played in Melbourne!?

Absolute disgrace.

Can only assume it's to piss off Victoria and there AFL centric mentality.
It's a known fact that the FFA are NSW-centric like CA is.

It's a joke Adelaide and Perth couldn't even snag group games...

Brisbane's pitch is a mess and doesn't deserve games, A final in Newcastle is a bleeding joke, no offence meant but what is the capacity of that place when there is no standing. The FFA and Gallop are a bunch of Sydney centric clowns.

Every offence meant!

What the hell is going on on Newcastle!?

Why the hell would a semi-final be held there?

So forget Perth Glory, forget Adelaide City? Forget the great history of football and their clubs made in these states post World War immigration? It obviously means nothing to the FFA.

The AFC are responsible for the scheduling. For a small tournament like this it makes sense to keep all the venues as close together as possible. Adelaide would have been used if more than 5 venues were allowed. Those are AFC regulations, not FFA.

Hang on, so Vic, WA and SA WANTED no part of a small tournament?

There are a numore of factors including time zones for tv coverage, government support & in the case of Adelaide the unavailability of AO.

That's why there weren't any games in SA / WA. And it has proven to be the correct decision with the tournament being an outstanding success. Nothing to do with any anti sa/wa/vic bias despite youre desperation for it to be so.

Not at all, just thought that people, from those states might like to see some games. I know you will defend the world game just like Foz through and through...

Of course they'd want to see the games but with 16 teams there were always going to be markets that missed out. And you can hardly argue with the results.

I'm from Melbourne mate would have loved to see a semi final in Melbourne.
