I thought Harris was staying home to be there for the birth of his kid. That's why he wasn't in my squad. Obviously in if available. He is 100% fit. He was left out of the WC Squad to focus on test cricket, and also rested form the balance of the shield season despite being fit. He will be cherry ripe for the Windies.
Harris is unlikely to tour the West Indies, no?He is 100% fit. He was left out of the WC Squad to focus on test cricket, and also rested form the balance of the shield season despite being fit. He will be cherry ripe for the Windies.
Assuming no Harris and no Pattinson, you'd have to say Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood and one more paceman. Could be an opening for Siddle? Or Bird? Abbott as a bolter?Be interesting who tours.
Pattinson doesn't warrant selection at the moment.
Starc played in the last test and they'll be keen to reward him for his world cup.

That might not matter.Well Bird's done nothing since his return from injury and I can't see Abbott as a test bowler.

He looked gone a while ago.I have a feeling they'll go with Siddle.

What about Sam 'The Rainman' Rainbird?I know but when you've got Nathan Rimmington and Andrew Fekete as the stand out pace bowlers of the Shield season you're probably going to stick with a guy who's played 52 Tests and just got 28 wickets @ 20.

Indeed. One to watch but pretty standard season.

Because Marsh is just as good if not better than Watson and he's far younger. If there was any chance the selectors think they are even, then Marsh should be selected due to his younger age and more upside.'because of age'
I have no beef with you picking Marsh, but surtely it has to be for cricketing reasons?
Otherwise, why are you debuting a 36 year old Voges?
What about Jordan Silk?I think looking at youth is fine if choosing between two players that are pretty equal but if there's a stand out player that's old he should still be selected (ie Voges)
