Pat Cummins
Xavier Doherty
James Faulkner
Aaron Finch

Shane Watson.

Mostly as expected but I don't have much faith in this squad to go all the way.

5 fast bowlers, 2 spinners in Clarke and Smith and the top 9 can bat.

Really think Clarke shouldn't be risking himself for this, ODI cricket is dead.

I tend to agree

further ODI requires bigger hitting which clarke simply isn't built for these days. He risks his career for a slap happy format.

Reasonably happy with that squad and pretty much what I expected.

(Just heard Rod Marsh in the presser refer to Bailey as an experienced campaigner, thanks to Big Footy I let out a guffaw :p ;) )

I too suffer from the chuckle when I hear the word campaigner in life.

I rather win the Ashes than the WC.

Worst ODI side we have sent in a long time. Openers are awful, death bowling is awful, wicket keeping is awful and bar Watson the Allrounders are bad as all rounders (Marsh and Faulkner are good at batting.. thats it)
Squad needs more South Australians.

I tend to agree with you mate. Apart from Clarke that is a very weak side on paper in terms of batting. Long gone are the days where we had Hayden, Gilchrist, Pointing, Martyn as our top 4 with Symmonds and Bevan coming in down the order. God I miss that 2003 team

Thought someone like Zampa might be a better option than Doherty who is a bit of a nothing spinner, he's reasonably economical but isn't a big wicket taker. Maxwell will probably play ahead of Doherty as the spinner anyway though as he offers more with the bat.

Can understand them leaving Harris out given his fitness issues but they could have rested him for the less important games with so many fast bowling options.
