    AUSTRALIAN CRICKET 2012
Australian Cricket has fallen as the great team, no longer are they looked at as unstoppable. Since greats like Warne, McGrath, Hayden, Gilchrist, Langer etc. have retired Australia has struggled to find new young stars to fill the spots of these greats. This is a story about how Australian Cricket and its rise back to the top.

I am pretty happy with our team, we are trying to build a stainable and structured team. I will make a few changes throughout this year to try and find talent but I want to turn players into 10 year plus players and hopefully greats of the game. Brad Haddin has more then likely seen his last game with Matty Wade and Tim Paine being young stars, while Ricky Pointing and Mike Hussey will stay in the side while I try to bring new fresh faces in. Pat Cummins and James Pattinson hopefully will fullfill their potential and dominate in the future but players like Peter Siddle and Ryan Harris are needed to help them with development and workloads.

Matthew Wade is getting his first taste of Test Cricket after having a good summer with the bat for Victoria and in the ODI. I like the idea of Warner and Hughes opening together and will be giving it every chance to work. Harris has a lot of skill and has performed well in his short test career, Cummins is a young star and will be given lots of chances, McDonald has been batting well lately and I really like what he can do bowling wise aswell. Siddle, Clarke, Ponting, Hussey and Watson are straight up starts.

After beating them by an innings and 390 runs we aren't going to make any changers. McDonald bowled great went he got his chance, Watson was great with the bowl and bat, pretty much all round great performance, with help from Warner's massive 441 runs.

Hughes wanted to get in on the run fest with a massive 185 runs, while Warner struggles after his record score with a return of 9 and 17. Clarke was brilliant on his way to 166no after getting a start but falling for 25 runs in his first dig. Matty Wade is still looking for his test match fifty but looked good putting up scores of 41 and 47, while McDonald made a great 59 in the first innings to help us get to 350+. Bowling was great again with Siddle taking a career best 6-88, to finish the match with 9 wickets, Harris took 5 wickets, while Watson and Cummins had 2 each and McDonald just the 1.

Everything is looking great so far, we know it's only the West Indies but you can only beat who you play. The batting line up is looking shape with everyone pulling their weight and the bowling stocks are the best they have been in sometime. Hoping to wrap up this one easily to make it a 3-0 series win.

Another easy win, knocking them over for only 86 runs in their second dig was the highlight. Captain Clarke notched another ton, while Hughes skied a short pitch ball only 2 runs off his century. Wade scored his maiden fifty with 78 runs and Punter scored a nice 51. Warner failed again with only 11, while Watson 13 and Hussey 0 didn't make the scorers work hard in this one. Bowlers shared it around, Siddle 6 wickets, Harris 5, McDonald 4, Cummins 3, and Watson 2.

Almost the same squad as the Test Series against the West Indies, with Cameron White, James Pattinson and Clint McKay coming in as the ODI specialist. It should be a good series since England have been playing some good ODI cricket beating the Windies 3-0 in their last series. I will mix the line up around a bit in this series if I have to, as I try to find the best line up.

Phil Hughes and Andy McDonald are making their debuts after a successful Test series against West Indies. Ricky Ponting is having a spell after feeling a little sore after our net session yesterday. We are hoping to take the number 1 ranking from England and we are feeling pretty good about it.

Hughes backed up my support for him with a great 118no, Watson hit a nice 67, while Clarke 0 and Warner 4 failed in the runs department. We won with 53 balls to spare and 6 wickets a great start to the series. Harris and McKay both got 10-1-39-1 while Siddle picked up 10-0-44-3.

No changes to the 2nd game, Punter is still sore and resting. McDonald should get a bowl this game, hopeful not a bat. Wade needs some runs as his ODI average is well below where it should be. Warner is still struggling after his 441 back to months ago, hasn't scored over 25 since then.

Great game from Watson he just keeps on performing with bowl and bat. Not the best batting wicket, Warner 10 runs was unlucky to be run out, while Clarke and Wade only managed the 5 runs each. The bowlers were great tho, with Harris getting 4-27, Watson 2-28 and White, McDonald, Siddle and McKay getting 1 wicket each. We hold a 2-Nil lead only need one more win from the next three games to be Number 1 again in One Day Internationals.

I'm giving Warner a rest as he just hasn't been batting well since the score, he will be back soon enough tho. Ponting is in for his first game of the series, while Pat Cummins is in to replace Clint McKay. We have moved Wade down the order hoping to take some pressure off him, and moved everyone up a spot. Win this one and we wrap the series up and the take the Number 1 ranking from the poms.

Great win, we are now NUMBER 1 again, Ponting and Hughes put on 103 run opening stand and everyone else chipped in. Clarke looked like he was in for a big one before being caught in the deep on 36, while White 40 and Wade 36no helped get us the big score in the last few overs. England scored quickly but we took wickets a regular intervals to ensure they couldn't make a real go at it. Siddle did the most damage with 4 wickets, Cummins and Harris both picked up 2 while Watson and McDonald both got 1 wickets each.

James Pattinson is coming in for his first game of the series, even through it is a dead rubber I want to win. I want a 5-0 series win so we will be seen as a powerhouse again. Clarke really needs to lift, as captain he hasn't been getting the scores lately and needs to show he is the right man for the job.

A few changes with Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey and James Pattinson all coming out for David Warner, David Hussey and Clint McKay. Pride is on the line for England so we will have to be at our best still to beat them in this one.

Lucky win. Pat Cummins hit a single off the last ball of the innings to get the win. His bowling was outstanding aswell picking up 4-34. We were 6-117 in the 32 over when Siddle came to the crease, as he put on a 37 run partnership with Cam White, when White fall at 7-154 it wasn't looking good but Siddle help us over the line with his run a ball 43. We won the series 5-0!!

Only changes to the squad that took England to the cleaners is both Hussey's who are dealing with family issues and requested time away for the moment. So now Matthew Klinger and Usman Khawaja might get a chance to impress us.

We have four players who need to fire. Clarke, Wade and Warner would love some runs and Jimmy Pattinson would love to get a bag of wickets soon or at least 2-3.

Nice and easy. Could have made 400 on this pitch. Hughes went out for a first ball duck which put Warner at the crease, him and Ponting put on 153 runs and then when he fall Clarke came out needing some runs and with Warner they put on 99 runs together with Clarke getting 51 runs. Harris and White picked up 3 wickets each while Siddle got 2 and Pattinson 1.
