Men's Match:

Milos Raonic [13] v Andy Murray [2] - Rod Laver Arena (NOT before 7:30pm)

Prediction:
Raonic - 5 Sets

Zero confidence in my predictions

Murray in 5- honestly won't shock me if Raonic wins, he is probably in the better form. Murray has the experience, going to tip the experience at this stage.

Hingis/Mirza in 2, but close sets, the Czech girls are pretty good.

This one could be epic, the head to head is surprisingly close and both are in ripping form at the moment but it's the battle for runner up though you feel.

I know the men's singles schedule is dictated by television but I still think it is unfair the winner of tonight's match only gets 2 days rest before the final on Sunday night compared to Djokovic's three days. Murray vs Raonic is 3-3 which surprises me.

In the past year Djokovic leads Murray 6-1 so would be a comfortable favourite should the Scotsman make it through to Sunday night. Raonic has never beaten Djokovic in 5 matches (http://www.stevegtennis.com/head-to-head/men/Novak_Djokovic/Milos_Raonic/) with the last loss in straights set in last year's AO.

Raonic proved he can tough it out in his win against Stan the Man and I think he can go to another level. Raonic in 5.

Hingis and Mirza to win in straight sets. Something sexy about Martina Hingis as a 35 year old playing tennis for the enjoyment.

Murray in 4
Hingis/Mirza in 2

Also being played are the junior semifinals and three Aussies are involved. Alex de Minaur (the sixth seed) is through and will play seventh-seeded Uzbekistani Jurabeck Karimov, while Ollie Anderson (unseeded) will play fifth-seeded Korean Yunseong Chung. In the girl's side of things Sara Tomic (unseeded) plays fifth-seeded Belarusian Vera Lapko.

Does it degrade the status of a Grand Slam event if the mixed doubles is played as the best of 2 sets with tie break if the sets are 1-all? Surely the mixed doubles can be left as a best of 3 sets.

Predictions: Hingis / Mirza through in straight sets
Raonic through in 4. Looking forward to a better men's match up tonight, ticks the boxes to be a cracking game even if it only goes 4 sets

Mirza is married to Shoaib Malik lol

dat rack

looooooooooooooool
