I dont mind some Bounty tourneys, just those 50/50 split prize pool's are no good for a tourney player like me.

ill play some every now and then that are 80/20 split pools.

I prefer the Progressive over the regular KO tourneys

I knocked someone out in the final table and got $200 for it :D

You do need a stack quickly, but i was down to 12 BB's at 50/100 last night. You can get your stack back real quick as people call you down light to try and take your bounty

When i fail badly at these, i make dumb plays going for bounties. When i treat it like a regular tourney (especially early on) i have more success

You can start calling a bit lighter at times as the tourney runs deeper though, as the KO can be worth $100-$200 at a time and you have more equity in a call

4th in the Benjamin…

Card dead for the last hour, one of my moves was bound to be caught out sooner or later, oh well still happy with the result this being only my second $100 buy in tourney, a good nights work

Congrats on the scores guys, BF doing really well in recent months.

Re bounty tournies - my earlier comment was a bit flippant - obviously its not as if you can just enter a bounty tourney bet a few times and all of a sudden you have the table covered. Also, if its a progressive knockout there probably is more emphasis on being in the last men/women standing so maybe a good approach to these is just to play them like any other tournament, I guess though that depends on the % of the progressive knockout. This goes also for straight knockout tournies - like if the bounty is say 50% of the players entrance fee (obv minus the rake) there is a much greater incentive to chip up early and have opponents covered, but if the bounty is only 10% then there is less incentive to chip up and therefore less incentive to take risks early on.

TBH I probably shouldn't be commenting on them given I don't play them much - but if I do play one I look at the structure and do change my play if the bounty is a non-progressive knockout and a lot of the prize-pool if locked up in the bounties.

Yeah, been some great/consistent cashes of recent times, lets hope that can continue!

JuddsABlue you playing the Sunday majors in the morning? Anyone else as well?

I just got back from Sydney, I'm toying with playing from now right through. I've played the Sunday Million maybe 4 times this year? Only the one cash though. Problem is if I go to sleep now its likely I'll miss all the decent tournies. I want to have half an eye on the rest of this footy game as I missed all of yesterdays ones as I was in a car and then at a party and it is the first round. I have about $450 TD - even if I don't play the Sunday Milly tonight is the best night to run up $ TD on Stars to use for the rest of the week.

I think we all understood what you meant mate, just like i hope that i didn't offend anyone with my negatives aimed at bounty tourneys, they just dont suit my style of play (the results say so :() , that's all i was getting at, they are probably more or less a gold mine for others though.

Ive worked uber hard on my game, studying, watching a s**t load of Youtube (thanks Galfond and DrGiggy) over the past few months and the results have been amazing really, not just tourneys but the cash game advice about heads up play and omaha has made me a much better player than i was at the start of the year, still got a long way to go but I've earnt more playing poker these past two months than i did at work, always good to see that.

Happy i found this part of big footy as none of my mates even play poker so its really just a self taught/trial and error/YouTube it up/study books thing with me. Have had a good look over 2+2 as well but feel like id be a stuupid newb to the experts. Think ill probably enjoy posting here more.

Anyway, thats my waffling out now, best of luck to those of you playing early tomorrow morning in the Big Sunday tourneys (id love to join you but I'm completely spent after the coffee induced no sleep Saturday night playing Benji and $50 deep stacker until 6am? I think?) Fill your pockets with that euro money! :thumbsu::thumbsu:

The amount of people on Friday night was HUGE. Every guarantee was smashed as people were off for Good Friday and it was day time overseas

I'm expecting big numbers for the tourneys in the morning with everyone on long weekends from work

well done, Benji is cursed for me I think, have punted off a bunch of stacks in it

The Phoenix was mine until i clocked that ******* jinx monkey this month!

Any of you guys know anything about Full Tilts +1 Edge Level thingy? Is it worth me pursuing and grinding each night just for this month? Ive got no idea about it, just saw it on my promotions page now..

Im in the top 25 now:

Screen Shot 2015-04-05 at 8.19.06 PM.png

BTW: That Dom WS at the top, complete nit, so easy to barrel him of hands. Any loose aggressive would have a field day against him.

AlexPoc, another russia fish, ill give you the secret to him, min raise his bb from the button, he will pot bet you back, call with absolutely anything, he will fire one barrel on the flop, call it, he will check turn, bet 3/4 pot, the pot is yours. Works everytime.

Cyclepowered easily my toughest oppent out of that bunch.

Anyway if anyone knows anything about it let me know, cheers.

terrible way to go out in 32nd :(

Rivered.... would've been massive to hold on!

That guy was hitting every hand he played.. i did make 1 mistake against him with AJ where i should've come over the top. he had A3 against someone else's 66 and won... meaning i would've got the pot and the bounty

$115 cash and $185 in bounties... so ******* close! :(

UL, so you played the million though, how did it end up?

I quit regging after b109, I was wrecked, but cashed the warmup so was single tabling for ages anyway

UL, so you played the million though, how did it end up?

I quit regging after b109, I was wrecked, but cashed the warmup so was single tabling for ages anyway

After my AA hand, i got all in pre flop after i 4 bet with AcKc against a smaller stack who shoved (and had 88) and i couldn't get there. Was down to about 8K after that

Then didn't have much. Folded 3 orbits which allowed me to 3 bet shove relatively light with about 18 BB's left (had AJ off in SB vs a mid raiser)

Got it in eventually with JJ at about 16 BB's (200/400) and ran into AA and JJ, so no more J's for me to spike. Did have 2 of my suits on flop, but it didn't carry on

Was all very ABC poker just couldn't get the cards

The PKO rescued my night for a break even at least... I was hitting everything with about 70 players left in that one. I was racking up KO's left right and centre. Couldn't miss. Then i bluffed off a bit and lost a touch of my stack. Peaked at about 230K with blinds at 4K/8K. Made a few mistakes with the big stack. Leanr and move on. A bit disappointed to not go a touch deeper..... ah well

I was railing you in the Warm up. Shame you couldn't go deeper :(

Saw probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen on online poker last night playing a cash game. Man........ The king of donks.

Had pocket aces, drew trips on the flop and checked his way to the river, where he drew quad aces.........and checked again.

* me..........And I thought the fact he didnt raise on the flop was funny.

Straight flush? Only wish the river was a spade....

Speaking of straights, I've been beaten twice in the past session on PS with premo pockets (KK and AA) to a gunshot on the river.

I can deal losing to a flush or trips, or a open ended straight draw on the river, but losing to a guy who has 26 off going all-in preflop is just insulting.
