Why waste your time with these silly posts? Things are looking great for the devils in 2011? i dont think so...the only additions your club will get are a few 2nds players returning from up the highway! No ex AFL stars heading to the devils den this year?...to keep up the urch, edwards tradition. save a bit of money this year and rebuild!

It is the year of the cobra...a club wich knows which direction it is heading, on the way up.

At least our club can attract quality players, despite the payments. The Marsh can not afford quality players and none want to go there even if they could. You have women running the club, no money, no prospects and no sign of turning it around. Seriously, how long is it going to take you bums to turn things around? Those few 2nds players returning to Darley would be contracted players at Bacchus Marsh, but will probably slip back into our reserves.

I am not sure where all the confidence from Bacchus Marsh is coming from. Your good junior players will end up on the other side of the bridge anyway, as they always have when they realise that the club is going NOWHERE. The duds will hang around so that they can tell the girls at the pub on a Saturday night that the play senior football.

It would be great to have some competition in the town, but give some respect where it is due. There is daylight between Darley and Bacchus Marsh in terms of effective football clubs and everyone in the league knows it apart from you.

didnt your club fold about 8 years ago, where have you been?

have not heard a thing from the snake pit for years, do you still play in the BFL?

no one watches, no one cares, go to the rdfl where you belong, you might even finish 2nd bottom instead of being habitual spoon gatherers

i wouldnt question darleys recruiting, remember a couple of years back when you got 3 guys from Papua New Guinea and they got deported half way through the year, that was funny..they stunk of grog and were super crap

the 2 names you mentioned (urch/edwards) came to darley because their mates/brothers play there, then left because they got massive offers elsewhere or wanted to play at a higher level. We dont pay extreme overs like you, remember when you also recruited the truckload of Ballan scrapheaps and paid each over $300

we have 17 locals in our ones, plus no one over 26 in our twos...your ones are kids with no ability..and your twos are fat guys dragged from the pub at 11.00am on a saturday morning

however i agree, 2011 should be the year of the cobra, you are awesome!

What about the year the Cobras paid out over $1K a game for Peter Barry and a couple of ex-Darley blokes that didn't like the coach? Even they were laughing at how stupid the club is.

So the $1200 a game for Urch is classed as average? Mark Lesko performed better for Darley than he did!

Yes, definetely not worth $1,200 (he was on less that that anyway), but that is what he would be on now at Balwyn, therefore that is the going rate. To attract those players from town you have to match it. Don't think the club was upset when he decided to go anyway, Jake Edwards was twice as valuable (leading goal kicker and b & f).

Urch probably didnt cost the club that much, played 8 games. Who cares, at least he wasnt deported back to PNG.

Mark who? Is that the guy that played 2's at Darley then asked for $200 and the club said no (they first laughed uncontrolably), so he signed at the Marsh for $350.

Wow you support the marsh and richmond

do you have red hair also

you poor unfortunate fella

haha..great to see alll the darley boys on here to defend their good old club. Its funny how everyone keeps potting Lesko, where in fact he is a better footy player than yous and plays vfl reserves. Lesko would be a walk in starter for your 1's since you got no ruckman apart from old stephenson?

Paying blokes 1200 a game is an absolute joke...NO one is worth that much, How do these stars on $800 plus a game feel when most of the kids, who are probz on apprentice wages or at uni, are getting $50?? does it bring resentment?

An d you keep refering to stuff under Miles...we have moved on. you havent. and no, none of our juniours will be crossing the bridge. I know its been said before but the marsh do have a good junior ranks. The reason the club cant attract quality players is on the clubs past reputation. Daylight between the 2 clubs....if i recall, our joke of a club had darley on the ropes wice in 2009, didnt marsh led both times at 3qtr time in 09 when yous had an all-star team that all yous claimed weere ten times better than 08?

Bottom line is you cant perform under pressure...ect 08 granny

Lesko would play 1st ruck for Darley every day of the week now, no argument there. He wasn’t good enough back then.

You have moved on have you, why bring up your "great" performances against us in 09 then. You treat the local derby as your grand final, we treat it as a game against the league rabble. You still lost both games, and in 2010 we beat you by 100+ points both times, and we were not even good.

The DFC's worst year in the last 40 or so was in 2007, we won 4 games for the year, however we managed to beat you by 100+ both times.
4 wins in a year for your club is a successful year.

Do you think we even care if we beat you, we certainly don’t get on the piss for two weeks after a win against your pathetic club. No one cares, the town rivalry is a farce because you have made it that way with 10 years of being terrible. No one even goes to watch anymore, we have probably won the last 20 games by an average margin of 100 points. Playing you twice helps us play finals every year.

We try to win flags, your club thinks it has a good year when you don't finish bottom. That’s why you will never improve.

On the resentment of paying blokes money. Our kids and locals are happy to have those guys, because they want to learn and get the best out of themselves and try to be successful as a club. If yours feel a little sad because someone is getting more than them, then that is another reason you won’t improve.

Do something soon, I want you to improve, I would like to go to a Marsh-Darley game and the result isn’t done and dusted before the game starts.

Your kids may not all come to Darley when they are open age, but they will definitely go somewhere else, because no person in Victoria wants to play seniors for the town joke known as the Bacchus Marsh Football Club.

Bottom line is you cant perform under pressure...ect 08 granny
that old chestnut...it must be good supporting the Marsh, a club where pressure does not exist. When you have no goals or direction as a club there is no pressure. You just go out and get beat by 15 goals each week and are content.

:eek::eek: funniest post ive read on here.

Our young guys have learnt more from our recruits over the years than they could ever learn at your club.

Over at the Marsh, the learning ends at under 16s and the focus turns to ensuring that you have enough people to field a team and that you at least score a goal.

It's all going to depend on who plays. Doubt we will see many send their strongest team.

The order I put them in would be if that were at their best - would be interesting to see how Lakers would go in the comp.

Who plays at South Barwon? Would have thought Marby Park would be the best in the field.
