BBL Match 27: Sydney Thunder v Melbourne Renegades

Just quietly - you are aware that Sandhu was dropped and prior to this BBL was considered a short form specialist - so much so that he was awarded a CA marketing contract to help in the promotion of the BBL and upcoming one day series.

I'd suggest Sandhu's elevation was a encouraged by higher powers hoping to get him back in with a shot of Australian representation.

That window closed tonight.

Hussey is not responsible for releasing the ball from Sandhu's hand - the wicket was slow.

Bashing back of a length should have worked but Sandhu couldn't execute his changes of pace, so much width too often.

You're also creating a narrative that Hussey picks the team himself.

It's a little cringeworthy to be honest.

Sandhu was droppeed...now please tell me which drunk fruit cake decided...'hey lets play this bloke who was dreadfuul' again. That is after Green playing his role and doing very well. Even McDonald (who I can't stand) would have been better.

Hussey is directly responsible for playing him and then actually bowling him. He could have bowled Kallis more, Watson earlier. Then you have the beyond silly decision of his selfish decision to bat ahead of Blizzard and Rohrer. Both those two can hit from ball 1...

Advocating Green on the back of no performance of any note is the first blunder.

You have just said that Hussey has been in form with the bat, excellent are the words you agreed with - now it's selfish to put an excellent batsmen, in form, to get more on the board???

Kallis went off with a groin strain......

Green has had one game where he's gone under 10 an over in his last 4 appearances.

Let the red mist settle and come back when you've calmed down. Lol.

Just to further highlight the red mist element.

Hussey has scored 236 at an average of 59 - strike rate of 134 from 6 matches.

Blizzard has scored 94 at an average of 15.67 - strike rate of 102 from 7 matches.

Rohrer has scored 78 at an average of 19.5 - strike rate of of 130 from 7 matches.

So, Hussey has scored the most, has the highest average and is scoring at a faster rate than the two you want in before him.

Makes sense, totally selfish.

Green is better, and a much better fielder. Going at 10 an over is better than Sandhu going at 15+ an over!

Hussey is in good form, but he is not a natural hitter from ball 1. Blizzard is, so is Rohrer...and yet he comes in with 3-4 overs left? It was just silly. Blizzard may not have worked...but you don't leave a hitter in the sheds so you can scrape around 18 off 18! It was the worst innings he could have played. Not only did he scratch around he barely tried anything.

Green or McDonald should have played, it was that simple, and Sandhu should have been on the bench with the words "never to play again" next to his name.

Ok mate - no changing your mind Hussey be damned!11!!1

Throwing the toys out of the cot with regards to Sandhu, lol. He'll bounce back from this season.

He can do that in the Shield. We better leave him out next match, he has been terrible all year

Does that sandhu bloke even put any back into his bowling. Looks like he's going at about 25% or he just can't be stuffed.
