I'm not declaring this the best, but this thread may turn be about reminiscing about all the good ones from the past. So Giovanni Van Bronckhorst's long range missile from the semi against Uruguay 4 years ago.
Best one I've seen at this World Cup so far.
Massive mancrush on James Rodriguez!
No love for Timmy Cahill? Seriously, his goal has to be up there.
Always loved this one
This was pretty special too:
Van Bronckhorst against Uruguay in South Africa.
You almost forget how good Owen was back then, a pity his career was cut down by injuries.
hahaha group of death made them look worse than what they were. Games against Italy and Uruguay could have been any different result. Agreed though, many times they lost was on penalties and wrong decisions. They were like Italy and extremely hard to beat in 90/120 minutes and it took a monumental effort to get past them. Euro 2004 was a tournament they probably should have won perhaps if not for a questionable call vs Portugal in the qtr finals during extra time.Man, England weren't too bad back in the day. Now, they are just plain rubbish.
Always loved this one
Ooops, it was already posted in the OP. No harm in posting again.
that was an absolute corker! the build up play was great topped off by a perfectly executed finish which was extremely difficult.
Bergkamp in France 98
Perfection.
