Just realised that the split round has Lakers play on both week ends?? hmmm thats whats in the paper so will assume one of the teams playing them will have a bye?

*And Lakers get 3 bye's, someone wants them to finish on top! Obviously a big mistake from either the courier or the league as both marsh and melt sth have 2 byes already or am i missing something?

Ballarat only play last year finalist twice (darley & East) rest only once?

Redan play lakers, east, ballarat twice?

Darley get a good run.

Souths & sunbury seem to have toughest draw.

I'd admit i wouldn't wan the job of doing draw but needs some fine tuning. Sunbury play North and get them again 3 weeks later???

It wouldnt be an easy task to try to please all !!
I added a possible solution that has minimal change to fix the Lakers issues in red text to the draw.
Just a suggestion.

If did as you suggested both sides would then only play 15 games instead of 16 and Lakers would not play from 20th june til the 18th july. With a spilt round and 11 teams in the comp someone has to play both weeks and that is why Lakers have the bye the week before the 1st weekend of the split rd.
Lakers wont get the 4 points for the bye they have before the split rd. It will be classed as there week off from the split rd

Firstly it makes alot more sense that the lakers play both games and dont get the points for the previous rds bye , didnt consider that, thanx for the run down!

But just to explain what i previously pointed out, Marsh and Lakers would both play 16 games, you might not of counted them both playing in rd 14 instead of bye. Also Marsh would get the split round off as they dont have a bye the wk before or after. This means that lakers would play on the 11th july. Both Lakers and Marsh would end up with 2rds off, but then marsh & ballarat have 2 rds off in a row with the week off between rd 6 and 7, so might be unfair to the marsh.
Anyhow seems no mistake was made and lakers get a split round that isnt really a split round, but thats footy
