After some discussion, we're beginning a weekly song contest.

Each week we will have a different category, chosen by the host. You submit your songs anonymously via PM and the host will post them in this thread. You vote anonymously in PMs and they declare the winner in the thread.

I'll be hosting the first week, then I'll be playing along.

General Rules:
All songs and votes are done by PM and must be kept anonymous by the host.
The host's decision is final, whinging will just make you look like a loser.
The rules for each category are determined by the host.
In the event of a tie the song with the most individual votes will win on countback.

To kick things off I thought we would begin with an easy one, songs that have been featured prominently in films. I'm sure you're now wondering, how do I enter? Follow the steps below:

1. Post in this thread declaring interest.
2. PM me your choice of song, which film it is featured in and how. Entries must be in by 5pm Monday the 13th of July.
3. I will post all the songs, and their explanation in this thread.
4. PM me your votes, depending on how many entries we get I'll post up how to vote after the songs go up. Votes must be submitted before 5pm Friday the 17th of July.
5. I'll post the results over the weekend.
