BROWNLOW WATCH: Pridda

Priddis could win the brownlow and no one's opinion of him will change either for the good or bad.

Put a full stop on his career really. Grossly overrated and underrated at the same time..with his position being questioned in the team week to week to get the Best player in comp award after (the very best) are either injured or had an average year.

By who a handful of B/F posters . Wow the pressure at the selection table must be immense !

Oh sarcasm...for a second there I thought you might have thought there was pressure at the selection table which is odd seeing as it isn't part of the comment.

More than a handful. Even some of the people that defend him list his position as "there until somebody better comes along"...does that sound like a Brownlow medalist?

The Football world would go into meltdown if Priddis won it.

Pressure at the selection table of a team who havnt exactly set the world on fire with a midfield rated very very poorly by opposition and ourselves alike

Lets win a few games against decent opposition before we start pumping those tyres up. Remember the tigers game?

its funny how some of you treat the brownlow as something that measures a player calibre.

we all know its a performing midfielders award that usually goes with the best team of the year bar gary ablett jnr.

its not gonna happen maximum votes he'll have is 10 to 15 due to the *en s**t losses we had that was caused by the entire team

As much of an anti-priddisite as ive been - i cant get past the idea of him winning with fyfe being ineligible but winning the votes

Its alluring - mesmerising - and fuc|<ing lolworthy

Also to put our internal dispute to rest - for him to win he really has to bog it a couple more times for the year and get 2 votes in another - which would take the sting out of it somewhat - cos then its finals time baby

36 votes - N. Fyfe (ineligible - suspended)
31 votes - M. Priddis
30 votes - some other freo or collingwood player - not fussed

Faaark we really are becoming bitter and twisted like they have always been - we need a premiership STAT

I wonder if this is going to be the 250+ page pro-Priddis thread to complement our 250+ page anti-Priddis thread, where there is endless bickering and no new material brought to the table? :D

"How much longer can the brownlow medal be awarded after priddis' win proves it's a joke of an award" 300 pages waiting!

How many awards go to players who don't play in the middle? Coaches, MVP, and media votes are also focussed that way.
There has only been a few occassions where the Browlow winner has come from the premireship side. Although finals is generally a significant advantage.
It's clearly the most significant individual award in the game by so far it isn't funny.

A thread like that would appear on the mainboard and it'd go well with all the "How can AA be taken seriously after Naitanui was picked" talk

West Coast Eagles, discrediting all the major awards since 2012 :thumbsu:

Well Kennedy Subbed out in first qtr with a hammy will prob miss 3-4 weeks so no more votes for him, if Pridda grabs some votes in the last three game which is likely considering who we are playing and the form he is in he will go very close to a Charlie this year. It will be a interesting first brownlow count for Gillon, Would be huge imagine his acceptance speech
