RETIRED Adelaide defender Brent Reilly was shocked by temporary paralysis to one side of his face following the career-ending pre-season mishap.

Reilly developed Bell’s palsy in the days following the surgery to repair a fractured skull from the training accident.

“I just felt like I couldn’t move the left hand side of my face. I could feel it, but I just couldn’t move it,’’ he tells Seven’s Saturday Night Footy, to be screened on Saturday evening.

I'm not sure why it would be Goodes - what's there for a 'tell-all'? Nothing has been closely guarded.

Reckon though the first guess in the thread (Mitch Clark) might be close.

Off field issues. Loves a flutter and not always at the TAB. Lost a bit and some people want to collect. Also, got into, in all senses of the word, someone not his girlfriend. And made it permanent.

Was told by the inner sanctum to get his s**t together, offered professional assistance and refused both.

Felt the need to get out and did.
