Buying a new Laptop

Looking to buy a new laptop in coming days.

Would get a fair bit of work but main uses would be general Microsoft Office and watching TV Shows etc.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Wont need anything to flash then, make sure it has an adequate processor and adequate ram then you should be right.

If you know what you're doing you could probably get away with a cheap Intel based laptop and do a cheap RAM/SSD upgrade. Otherwise find something with at least 4gb RAM and an i3 processor and you should be fine.

Looking at getting a new laptop as well. I see Harvey Norman have a few good deals on HP ones atm. I'll mainly user it for study, Netflix and also some games.

How much extra would it cost to her something that can play new games? Not too concerned with that just curious as to the price difference.

Went to Harvey Norman, looks like anything decent is over $1500. Amd A8, 8gig ram, 256 storage, SSD for $1500.

Without the SSD there's ones between $1100-$1500

Decided I might as well get one that can play decent games. Nothing too extravagant. Basically just studying, streaming/downloading and casual gaming.

Something around the $1500-$2000 mark.

Haven't looked around too much thought and spending $1500-2000 you may be able to haggle you're way in to a better deal at JB on something they have.
