Also... Wood moves alot like Kruez.

How he gets ready at the centre bounce is Krueze like aswell.

Do we think Kruez and Wood could play in the same team together?
Not with Casboult in the team. A ruckman spending half the game on the pine is too big a burden to carry. All comes down to team balance. If we get injuries to a tall forward than we can afford to rest one down there.

Yep probably agree with this.

Cas is best 22 every day of the week. Got the best mits in the game.

Bit of a highlight on Woods game tonight. Here are our most recent ruckmen with their record for most marks in a game.

Hampson - 9
Wood - 9
Kreuzer - 8
Warnock - 6

He's taken 9 twice and 8 a couple of times so he has it in him. 2008 and 2009 he averaged over 4 marks a game Which isn't bad and has since averaged over 3 apart from 1 season. On comparison here are our other recent rucks best average marks.

Hampson - 4.33 Marks/game (2013) played as a forward though
Kreuzer - 3.29 (2013)
Warnock - 3.25 (2007 at Freo), 2.1 (2011)
Wood - 4.31 (2009)

Can't really take a lot from this apart from the fact that Wood is a decent mark. Potentially could average 5 marks a game which would be outstanding and make him a threat as a forward. That big guy who can sit in the forward pocket, take the odd mark or give us that get out kick coming out of defense will make all the difference. In the past with some of our rucks I've been critical for not only their in ability to mark it but inability to contest properly and it ending up with the opposition. Bug guys letting it go over the top, dropping it, misreading it in the air, getting out marked etc etc. Wood looks a bit better than that. If he can keep this sort of form up and he plays more like this then Warnock and Kreuzer have some catching up to do which is what you want on an AFL list which is great.

Good drafting, great story and hope he keeps this going.

I'd say as it stands with Krueze atm- No, but if Krueze comes back and stays on the park and improves to become the player we all hope him to be, then possibly.

Highlight of the night was Wood chasing down Harvey. Couldn't believe when I saw, and the perennial sook was not too happy when he turned around and found out that Cam was the guy. Poor old Boomer who's victimised time and time again by Crowley, Rockliff et al. sure didn't enjoy it.

Reward for some very good reserves form, especially recently. He can swing forward and let Cas go on ball for periods at a time, yet he's still a viable option up there. Onwards and upwards Cam.
