Cry me a river 3X Brisbane Lion supporter. :p

Mate if i can laugh about it now its not all bad, we had a great year and exceeded all expectations. I must say ive enjoyed the ride and almost every moment of it, twas a whole heap of fun when you really think about it :thumbsu:

I am hurting man. I am exhausted as well. I feel like all season I've been defending Cam and reading all the s**t written about him and then boom in the Superbowl it gets 100x worse but he did bring that on himself. I need a break. I've deactivated my twitter and will be back in a while but man Sport has hurt me. For the record I didn't really follow the Lions closely back in the 3Peat era. I took AFL seriously once I started playing which was way after they were good.

Fair enough mate, dont take it all so personally though, it is just sports after all. You have a family and stuff, there are bigger and better things in this world. Perhaps just * twitter off for good.

On the bright side I can finally understand what Carolina fans mean when they say they don't get any respect and Cam is unfairly criticized.

You guys were out coached against the best defense in the league. Players have bad games once in a while. Yet it's all Cam this and Cam that. Yet you guys still won the NFC Conference Championship and that's a big deal in itself.

The biggest thing I am taking out of the Superbowl is that we were out coached. Interesting to see if any small changes are made.

Im not buying that as the main reason. We didnt execute is the main reason IMO, Broncos played very good D but we were our own worst enemy on offense, repeatedly shooting ourselves in the foot.

Youre right. Panthers werent outcoached whatsoever. Your D killed their O. Your O playcalling was excellent. Just wr drops and cam.meltdown, execution.

There was plenty of shooting ourselves in the foot but they had no answer for them really. Even when they tried to do an unusual play Denver had seen it before and snuffed it out quickly. Hearing comments from Broncos players saying they had seen everything we threw at them on the tape and how they were expecting something different but it never came.

There was a bit of everything... from poor execution, missed opportunities, poor protection, not switched on, poor playcalling, bad luck (ball touching ground on close completions)... it all adds up.

The Black Cat D did all they could to help but the O just couldn't get going aside JS making a spectacular Endzone leap for the TD.

I really was anticipating (read: banking) on a Pick 6... there was a INT just before I called it but the return was stopped too hastily.

The D did well considering the Broncos returned a punt for 60+ yards. The big pat on the back was for the Broncos spluttering third down conversions. If you were given that statistic alone, no way would anyone think the Black Cats lose... and like it happens from 'time to time' the playmaker of the team has his worst game of the season.. just makes you sick in the guts and hope that he can 'wake up' after this. The carrying on (too indulgent in enjoying the fact he was playing in a SB) in the lead up was just another lesson for the kids out there that you can't afford to think the mission is complete without getting serious for a minute before it all unravels which strangely enough stretched as much as 55 minutes into the back end of the game.

Exasperating I know. But on the flipside (Bronco fans will know this very well) that after losing one, you'll get more hungry and feel a whole lot better after getting back to the Big Dance and making it right.

As for Cam Newton.... he was showing signs of exhaustion (physically) before the last Q arrived. That I thought was a massive indication of needing to stay 'alert' before a brain fade which we all know about now. It can be totally emotionally draining with so much energy carrying into this game. Too much 'dreaming / wrong mental state' going on is before and during the game what I think made Cam get ahead of himself perhaps. And that happens to the best of 'em. Heck, even Peyton can plead guilty to that!!!

What is surprising though is Riverboat Ron not bringing in his own experience. He was a member of da Bears when they got mauled on the big stage (CC) in '84... only to bounce back hard the following year and go all the way. Everyone's mindset is different I know but to gauge what what happened to da Bears O in that CC was what I hoped Riviera would of been ready for.

OK I am done sulking. Time to move on to next season. We could see plenty of turnover in our roster in the off season.

These are our Free Agents...

Josh Norman, Mike Tolbert, Jerricho Cotchery, Mike Remmers, Chris Scott, Amini Silatolu, Charles Tillman, Fernando Velasco, Joe Webb, Davonte Wallace, Kyle Love, Stephen Hill, Brad Nortman, Roman Harper, Ben Jacobs, Cortland Finnegan, Brenton Bersin, Frank Alexander

Key needs for us are Depth in the Secondary, Pass rushers, Upgrades on the offensive line, upgrades at WR and a Running Back the team can trust moving forward.

Only on our practice squad...

Sounds as though he had injury problems at the Pats

GG.exe tell me how bad this bloke is please, former raider i see.

Yeah we made a few practice squad signings. We are going to need some Gettleman magic this off season.

Agree with what you said the other day, Tolbert, Cotchery, Harper and Tillman wont be playing with us next year.

Webb will probably get more money somewhere else.

Id like to see us keep Silatolu, Love, Nortman and Alexander if we can sign them cheap enough.

Remmers superbowl performance probably cost him a good pay day so we probably keep him for a reasonable amount also now with the view of upgrading.

Norman a must keep obviously.

The rest, i dont care if we cut.

Tolbert could possibly still stay but he cost himself plenty of $$$ with that fumble. I see Funchess taking the Cotchery role next season so he isn't required plus he let us down so badly in the big dance. I also expect J. Allen to be cut. We will need to hope we can sign a few guys as there will be holes everywhere with the likely players leaving.

Cotch is a lockeroom guy id love to keep like Tillman i just cant see how we possibly keep him on the roster.

Allen and CJ will both have to go. CJ will probably get some good money somewhere but it wont be with us.

Ryan Delaire, remember him? He deserves his chance, Kony is ready for the big time and if Frank Alexander can get back to what he was doing last training camp before blowing his AT i like our pass rush all of a sudden. Young, but guys who have shown they can do it in an NFL game. Assuming we have Mario Addison still under contract as our third down specialist also.

A good read on Cam Newton and his actions.
http://myfox8.com/2016/02/08/why-youre-wrong-about-cam-newton-and-the-postgame-press-conference/

The Super Bowl is football’s biggest stage. More than 100 million people watched as the Broncos stifled the Panthers offense and frustrated Cam Newton all night. The NFL’s best offense was stuck in reverse for 60 minutes.

Cam couldn’t run. Cam couldn’t throw. Cam couldn’t dab. Cam couldn’t win. And then he walked out of his postgame press conference.

It was a great night for Cam haters.

Cam is the loudest winner and the worst loser, which means the general sports fan will never be a Cam fan.

But Cam is simply a football fan playing football. He’s just like you. He lives and dies with every play, every quarter and every game.

Now you are taking shots at him. Poor!

Im not taking shots at him at all, people make mistakes and should be forgiven, people need to be able to be accountable and recognise when they * up though.

My support for "The Panthers" will always be, doesnt mean i will wave my pom poms on everything we do and say though.

There is actually better angles of the fumble on the internet. He was never regathering it but he should have done better.

I dont care about the fumble recovery in the grand scheme of things because I dont for a second question his toughness, he puts his body on the line just as much if not more than any QB week in week out. If anyone is entitled to a squib its Cam.

I was 'cringing' at the answers he gave about the press conference more so.

Mate, we were in the lead at half time and looked the goods! Also we got absolutely killed by the AFL, having to play a 'home' prelim at the MCG!
Got beaten by a better team. Was the end of your Dynasty, it happens.
