West Coast coach Adam Simpson says he's confident defender Will Schofield will be fit to play in Saturday night's clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.

Schofield was subbed out of last week's win over Sydney with a calf injury, but scans have cleared him of any damage.

Hope we're not taking unecessary risks, if he aggrivates any injury it might put him out for a month.
