TOP draft prospect Charlie Curnow spent the night at a Geelong police station last night after refusing a breath test.

He was released about 6am today.

The Geelong Falcon was considered a likely top-five pick but the incident could prompt clubs to reconsider him before next Tuesday’s national draft in Adelaide.

Clubs will likely request more information and possibly another interview with Curnow to discuss the incident before Tuesday.

The AFL has been made aware of the incident.

Wonder how far he will sliiiiiiiiide.

Far out mate. At least wait 'til you get a gig.

Met and spoken to this guy a couple of times, typical private grammar school type where it's all about him and only him. Think that they're more important than they actually are, possibly the stupidest thing you can do at the stupidest time to do it. :rainbow:

So they would have taken him to the station and blood tested him, right?

What were the results? He'd likely lose his license if found inebriated, wouldn't he?

Automatic licence loss for 2 years if you refuse a breath test. That's been legislated for years to close a legal loophole people were exploiting.

He's screwed now. Likely needs to pay the Magistrates Court a visit as well.

You can't just blood test someone if they don't want to be blood tested because it involves putting a needle in someone's arm...

Will be interesting what happens between 3 and 7 now. Think it was down to Parish and Curnow for the Dees at 3 but we'll probably pass now. Wonder if the Dons will too?

probably a deliberate ploy by himself so that he slides to club of choice.

Most likely worked out a deal with Hawthorn or North or Adelaide so he can get to their pick.
