City coach Brad Fittler and Country coach Trent Barrett have named their squads for next weekend's City v Country clash. Its set to be a blockbuster. The annual City vs Country game will take place in Wagga Wagga on Sunday 3rd May and the game will be televised on Channel Nine.

A friend and I were planning to drive over for this game - 7 years I've been in Canberra and I never found a reason to go to Wagga (and I'm hoping to leave Canberra soon).

Unfortunately the friend baled... I'm not sure how much I care. Despite the recent history of this fixture producing some cracking games with great finishes... I dunno. I look at both the teams and wonder 'are these really the best players we have in NSW?'
 
Who would you prefer to see? Squads look decent to me.

It's not so much the players that weren't picked - it's more a disbelief that the Blues seem to have a much lower quality of players to pick from than we have in previous years.

The one player that should have been a no-brainer in the squad, without an ounce of bias, is Shaun Fensom. He's been a tackling machine for 3 years now, and as a lock forward Josh Jackson couldn't wipe Fensom's arse.
