Hopefully Dea can play a couple of blinders and get a call up soon.

    Did Connors play against Sand'ham?

No mention of Post in "The Coburg Report"?

From over here it seems that Coburg are more competitive this year - does it mean we actually are improving our depth

Some promising signs, going by the Coburg report. I like the idea of these youngsters stringing some form together before earning promotion. While some senior blokes in the 1s could be considered lucky to hold their spots, the club will be stronger by letting the kids develop first at Coburg instead of rushing them into the big-time.

no wonder rance was so good on saturday. putting pressure on all the backs, soon.

all our rookies are doing well. verrier could be the backup for ellis and houli.
surely one of them should get the call up for strong consistent performances. i think they'd try their hardest if they get the call up

realise highlights are quite biased, but gee some good highlights there. A Maric, Webberley, White, Gus, Derickx, plus Elton's contested marking all a feature. These guys have gotten Coburg off to best start for a while and stiff not to be 3-0. Chance for them to really continue momentum which will help develop form and confidence at that level.

Based on his company within this list I'd say Jackson won't be dropped .

Yeah, not only is it bad enough that D Jackson is getting a game for us when he wouldn't in any other AFL side, it would seem that further to that, he's one of 6 "undroppable" players in our side

That is the absolute definition of rewarding mediocrity if that's how the list is intended.

Just shows the average state of our list when it comes to experienced players.

    Wow. Just wow.

Makes me wonder if DJ has been told he won't be dropped, hence the lack of effort?

But search me as to why Dimma would promise not to drop him. Would have to seriously question Dimma's sanity if that were the case.

If it's a bye what do our reserve players do? Take the weekend off or continue with training?

I don't think it is lack of effort Stylo, but lack of ability. Face it everyone...Edwards and Jacko are best 22 for the year, and since Webberley is nearing the peak of his abilities, we only really have Dea, Arnot, Helbig and possibly Gibson, to hopefully step up and keep them out of the team even next year.
Both are protected species it seems, but with media now highlighting Jackson's 'below the required level' ability, hopefully he is more in the spotlight now and can be 'gifted' to Coburg to 'lead' our up and coming there!

Fair call, I guess I'm more hinting at lack of mental effort than anything... He's an intelligent guy, and football isn't rocket science, so he needs to apply his brain to his style of play. I actually thought he played a lot better yesterday than the first 2 rounds, still had a few typical Jackson moments but it was far more evident that he played a role and played it quite well. I've been saying it for years but when he plays within his limitations he is quite handy, he just needs to cut out attempting the impossible and looking like an idiot for it. When he does those things it's not only ineffective, it's demoralizing.
Perhaps this whole media awakening will be good for him. Grounding.

Got Frankston this week. If they don't win by 60 it will be disappointing! Reserves could win by 150+

Good to see Connors named this week.

Don't know don't care, Richmond vs Geelong is on the same time.
