    Why hasn't this been done?

I reckon a team like this would fill stadiums.

They'd win most games by 50 points.

I wouldn't mind seeing that team (or even just an ANZAC team) take on the British Lions at Twickenham or the Millenium Stadium. That could be pretty incredible. They'd definitely need the home advantage for it to be a contest. Worth pointing out though that a SANZAR team wouldn't necessarily be better than any of Australia, NZ or South Africa on their own. On paper, sure but any combined team is going to have to gel and they have a lot less time together to build combinations and develop their game style.

There's always talk of a northern vs southern hemisphere match. I guess the problem with those more arbitrary 'all star' matches is that they don't really mean anything and the fans don't care that much who wins. Entertaining though. Whenever the Barbarians have a really good line up they sell out stadiums. North vs South would be a better version of that.
