I disagree - the most important thing he said ( from a current coach) was that there is no such thing as a bad or poor win - he said they will do anything - couldnt care how they win - or how unattractive the game was - as long as they win - and thus keep their job - he hit the nail right on the head there mate

You ask the other ( still employed) coaches - and they will say the game will evolve - and all that bull dust

Fair enough goggin, but it isn't really much different to a player saying the same thing but not diving, staging etc.

There's always cultural and sports related principals and responsibilities.

Really hate Anderson's ideas on the game. Found myself agreeing with a few of the points Malthouse made. Like the way David King thinks about the game, and the way he considers all sides and tries to reach sensible outcomes. Gerard has no clue.

Found myself agreeing with Anderson about interchange and was good someone had the pills to tell Malthouse how it is.

You wouldn't be the only Pies fan that benefited from interchange manslaughter.

Anderson seems to be shedding his huge nerd aspect to a degree.

King is a rare analyst. Similar to Lloyd with the courage to speak up but less of a diving git. Gerard's pushing the senile button and refused to push his opinions in fear of upsetting Mick.

This is a different type of causal theory, but sydney always had a small oval and the congestion game seemed to work well there. Whan the large wavrley park was avaialable, Sydney routinely were smashed there.

then waverely was replaced by the much smaller etihad, and the congestion tactics have flourished.

Its a different take than the interchange causal theory

I've proposed the idea of all playing surfaces being 180mx130m, with genuine 50m arcs, and a 50mx50m centre square. Obviously the existing infrastructure and grounds could not reasonably or affordably be modified to accomodate this, though.

What? Malthouse is notorious for advocating boring low scoring football and keeping the ball near the boundary line for stoppage purposes. It was the trademark of his Eagles sides and Collingwood were hardly exciting either.

Let the game evolve naturally, the tiges have found a gameplan of short kicking then bursts of speed which is both effective and more exciting and which it's weakness is more like the football of the late 90's of kicking long to a dominant CHF. So if we let it go we might just come full circle. This is just my opinion.
