Schneider probably gets paid more than he would at a VFL club. A lot of VFL clubs claim they offer the opportunity to be drafted into the AFL, so they pay less than suburban footy clubs pay their players. Tommy might just like the extra green in his pocket.

There's also a rumour on an EFL board that Schneider is being paid upwards of $2K a game. There's no way he'd earn that at a VFL club, IMO.
