Whoever came up with the idea as Taylor Garner as a centre half-forward. Think he played on the HFF agin Collingwood.

It's probably more of a forward roaming role then actually your big centre half forward type. You got Petrie, tarrant, black, garner, Thomas and they wanted to have a second ruckman in the side also. That was roughly the plan pre season anyway.

Well done to Joel Tippett.

Ken dolls around the world will be celebrating.

Hopefully Joel has more balls than a Ken doll! Very happy for the bloke to sure up his future with us. He may be a very important player for us in the years ahead.

Word is we'll throw him at Carlton for a late 5th round pick in good faith so they release Waite as a free agent.

I won't imply that Barbie is Kurt, though ...

Any news on Greenwoods contract? I am getting nervous he may be leaving.

I haven't heard anything yet. It worries me that all sorts of back room deals are being arranged between players and prospective suitors while we're kept in the dark. If he is holding out I imagine the SA clubs would be sniffing around. Hopefully the wheels are well and truly in motion with a contract extension with us nearing completion.

He is not a free agent though, is he? Which means anyone who wants him will have to trade with us.
I think he will definitely stay.

If his contract expires I presume he becomes one EH.

Greenwood's might be taking longer because of the nature of his excellent season.

In other words, the original contract offer (if one existed) would be torn up and now it's a matter of coming to terms with where and the club are at almost from scratch.

Personally don't think a significant concern.

Only if we delist him I'd say. Or else he will just be eligible for preseason draft, but not free agency.

Sorry mate, I wasn't saying he'd be defined a "Free Agent" as per the AFL's definition, but saying he'd be free to bugger off if he chose to.

How long's he been with us? (CBF'd looking it up)

The whole FA thing's explained here anyway.

Since 2008 ... Doesn't seem long enough.

Levi won't go.

Why would anybody move to Adelaide unless a they had a gun at their head?

Plus he's been in Melbourne long enough to become civilised and able to freely socialise with other people of superior breeding and intelligence.

Illogical to even entertain the possibility, tbh.

He doesnt have to be a free agent if his contract is finishing this year. He can field offers from whoever and hold out for as long as he wants. I really hope he stays because I cant remember a footballer improving so much in such a short amount of time. On current form he would have to be the best defensive/offensive tagger in the game, such a rare commodity.
