Controversial incidents

I would think will a team as multicultural as ours the club and fellow fans would be taking a hard line on this.

A Hull fan was racially abusing a Swansea player earlier this season and his fellow fans turned him in.

Is that John Terry's head Photoshoped?

Expect Costa to receive a thorough tongue lashing from his own supporters next game at SB.

3rd left actually looks like it could be.

Chelsea Football Club is suspending three people from Stamford Bridge as a result of investigations into the incident on the Paris Metro on Tuesday evening.

If it is deemed there is sufficient evidence of their involvement in the incident, the club will issue banning orders for life.

We have received substantial information to date following our witness appeal and we are grateful to the many Chelsea supporters who have provided information so far.

Our investigations are on-going and we would request any further information is sent to customer.services@chelseafc.com.

We also continue to cooperate fully with the Metropolitan and Paris police forces who lead the ongoing criminal investigation.

It's good work by the club, shame about all their racist supporters though.

;)

Great stuff by Chelsea - they said initially they were very disappointed by the incident and would take the strongest actions to punish those involved and it seems they are backing up their word and not just simply making empty gestures.

Yeah, seen lots of "Chelsea fans are the worst/are scum etc" comments on social media but every club has its share of knobs unfortunately so its not really fair to paint all the supporters with one brush. Similarly, have seen plenty of Chelsea fans mention they are embarrassed and disappointed by this incident and openly condemned those involved.

Yeah, looks like he was misunderstood on the racism claims (or at least is trying to clarify he was).

"It's not a matter of color. I think the problem is having too many foreigners."

So, not racist, just xenophobic.

Because that's so much better? :drunk:

I think (or at least I hope) what he means is that by having more and more foreign players playing in Italian club youth sides, it's detrimental to the development of the Italian national side as there are fewer eligible players coming through at a high enough standard.

Either way, he probably didn't choose his words very well to say the least...
