Was a gun in his prime but honestly should have called it 2 years ago.

Can't begrudge him for trying to get a few extra years on an AFL list and a few more $$$$.

I prefer to think it was a genuine hope that once he got over the injury he'd be able to return to what was.

Love Axel, Such a hard Trainer, great quality person (by all reports), great clubman.....:cry::cry::cry:...

Think of him 1 thing comes to mind. Quality, Quality, Quality....
 
when you start thinking about it. This a without doubt an absolutely brutal "game". Players would have to in later years question if it was worth it, when they become arthritic etc etc
