Cricket Victoria denys Fitzroy a farewell game at the Junction Oval

Amateur club Old Melburnians have been ordered off the Junction Oval a month before a planned farewell game against Fitzroy, the club that used to use the ground as their VFL-AFL home ground.

Very disappointing.

Yeah it is a real shame. Fitzroy won all three of the VFL grand finals that were played at the Junction Oval - 1898, 1899, and 1994.
