Can I just clarify is it 14 or 12 players each cause you said 12 then you said 1 from each test team and 1 from each of the associates which is 14?

I think he meant 1 associate player.

Oh yeah, team name is Glen Iris Pirates

12 players.

You must select one player from Afghanistan, Ireland, Scotland or the UAE

So I could select Stirling for instance and then two Australians and one from every other test nation.

Thanks. Sorry haven't done one of these before. When is the draft? Squads haven't been announced yet have they?

Draft starts as soon as we get enough players.

They just have to be current players- no need to be in the squad.

So I could in theory pick Virender Sehwag even though he didn't make the Indian squad.

Fair enough. Just one suggestion rather than one player from each test playing nation why not just take the mext best available olayer rather than worry about how many from each nation. Maybe make a rule of 1 associate player though

Probably not. I want to celebrate the world cup aspect. Also good chance to hear about players from lesser known nations.

Might make it a 15 man squad- at least one player from each test nation. At least one associate player and max of 2 players from one nation

First pick! A curse and a blessing. Has to be this bloke for the number one pick...

AB DE VILLIERS

ab-de-villiers-wicket-keeping.jpg

Matches: 175
Batting Average: 51.50
100s: 18
50s: 42
Strike Rate: 95.95
Catches: 142
Stumpings: 3

A batsman of breathtaking chutzpah and enterprise, as well as the skills and the temperament required to back up his creative intent. A fielder able to leap tall buildings and still come up with the catch. A wicketkeeper who is perfectly at ease donning pads and gloves. A fine rugby player, golfer, and tennis player. All AB de Villiers needs to show off his abundant gifts is a ball. Just about any ball.

Cricket should be pleased to have him. Few drive the ball as sweetly and to the boundary as regularly, and - in South Africa, at any rate - even fewer possess the silkily snappy footwork required to put spinners in their place. de Villiers is also among the fastest and the most instinctively sensible runners between the wickets. Marry all that with an approach to life that veers between laconic and laid back, and it isn't difficult to fathom why he has been afforded senior player status in the South African team years ahead of his time.

Having watched his supreme innings today live, I'll be taking virat kohli with pick number 2. Averaging 52 from 146 odis striking at 90. I expect him to come in To his own chasing totals on grounds he has had a good level of success on already in his career.
