Going to take a bit of a risk and go for a young guy who is showing promise but not proven in Aus and NZ conditions.

Going to assume that my next selection is valid (my mystery man) seeing as he is not retired

I will select the greatest spin bowler in world cricket, who is currently having his action re-worked for international cricket. Has put himself out of the World Cup but will no doubt return sometime this year and add to his ODI average of 22

Saeed Ajmal

thetradesman is up next, but he doesnt appear to interested in selecting players, so i assume The_Reaper will go

1. Ahmed Shehzad (PAK)
2. Darren Bravo (WI)
3. Joe Root (ENG)
4. Ross Taylor (c) (NZ)
5. Corey Anderson (NZ)
6. Jos Butler+ (ENG)
7. Kieron Pollard (WI)
8. Ryan Mclaren (SA)
9. Mitchell Johnson (Aus)
10. Saeed Ajmal (PAK)
11. Ajantha Mendis (SL)

Four more spots left and still got an Indian, Bangladeshi, Zimbabwean and Associate to select

I considered picking Ajmal, but he was really struggling with his new action and would be really ineffectual if anyone would be silly enough to...oh. Carry on. :p

http://www.espncricinfo.com/pakistan/content/story/811663.html
"A recent unofficial test at the Loughborough University found Ajmal's action for his stock delivery, the offspinner, as well his faster balls to be legal. His action for the doosra, though, was still not below the permissible 15-degree limit."

Recent article said he needed some remedial work associated with the new action, which has put him out of the World Cup

I like the balance of that side, unsure who I take now.

Seeing I don't have either a South African or a specialist spinner I will take Imran Tahir. I know he isn't fantastic but I think given they play a game or 2 at the SCG he could do ok.

Great pick, he's a quality ODI spinner.
