We must be banking on drafting four more Adam Saadsanything, at this rate

After speaking to someone who knows him very well it is almost a certainty that he will be playing country footy next year

1000 times more then what he would make playing local footyRookis not on much mate.
not worth enough living away from home, probably had a mon-fri job down there. might have been a bit too expensive for him.1000 times more then what he would make playing local footy

My lad knows him quite well. Josh just loves playing footy but cant handle all the extra that comes with being an AFL footballer. Hates the recovery sessions and the constant team meetings and 6 day a week stuff that comes with it. He promised his parents he would give it a go but its not for him. If he does quit he will end up playing country footy where he will get $1500 a game to train once a week and play with his mates. Can also have a beer after the game and go out on a weekend like regular young people do. AFL isnt for everyone but he had a crack atleast. I often wonder if footballers from the 80's would handle the pressure of a modern player and the game has become so professional now, some would argue its gone too far.Had enough of what being payed good money to do something you love. yes, that what I was getting out by "having enough"Josh just loves playing footy but cant handle all the extra that comes with being an AFL footballer.
Dixon and Smith removed from the OP and Currie added (anyone know how long Currie's contract is?) with Gorringe almost definitely getting delisted/traded to take the club to 33 senior listed players. So 7 spots to fill and in possession of picks 3, 10, 16, 31, 35, 43. We assume Saad will be upgraded and Adcock will likely be picked up so that takes the club to 5 remaining spots. They may just use the 5 picks they have in the top 35 of this draft to inject youth or use 4 of them and pick up someone like Rosa. We'll soon find out.
You're right. I was thinking 40 senior spots for some reason.Matchu are you sure about 7 senior spots to fill?
We only have the regular 38 senior listed players.
6 senior listed out: Dixon, Bennell, J.Hall, Sumner, Smith, Gorringe.
In: Currie
Leaving only be 5 senior spots left to fill?
Plus 1 nominated rookie to replace Broughton if a player agrees to be contracted that way.
What was the source for Danny Stanley being contracted until the end of 2016? Seeing as he's been delisted, does that mean we've paid out his salary?
Looks like it, but this happens more often than you think. Stanley wouldn't be on much more than rookie wage I think anyway? What was the source for Danny Stanley being contracted until the end of 2016? Seeing as he's been delisted, does that mean we've paid out his salary?
Wha NO BULL??!!What was the source for Danny Stanley being contracted until the end of 2016? Seeing as he's been delisted, does that mean we've paid out his salary?
