Ivanhoe are just finals specialists you reckon???

15 goal turn around from the previous time they played Kew....

I hope so Tape Me Up as being a long time supporter I would love to see them win a GF.......it's been a while.

As for the turn around, not sure, but looking at results (VAFA website) they beat Kew away by about 40 points, maybe they played more like that on the weekend? :)

Congratulations to our captain Aaron Lendaro on winning the league B+F tonight, had a fantastic year.
I'm sure he would hand it back to have a crack at the big one this weekend though.
Good luck to Kew and St.Mary's this weekend. St.Mary's by 3 goals my tip

Well, here we go .....

St Marys v Kew in the seniors in what looks to be a belta! St Mary's played a super game of running footy last time they met on the wide spaces of Casey and you would expect them to like the look of being back there again. Kew on the other hand rebounded really well last week and played some great footy to end the Turtles year. I have been on the St Mary's bandwagon all year and can't see any reason to jump off now, although another big game from Brazzale could cause havoc. I think the over all running power of St Mary's, especially off half back, may get them over the line. St Mary's by 2 majors and Latsas BOG.

In the twos the Hoes take on the side I have said was 'the team to beat' all year. As previously stated, I think this will be a cracker as both sides have played some outstanding games in more recent times. The SMS machine are 2-0 against the Hoes in the home and away season and will have a formidable line up. But, you can't tip against your own club ......ever! Hoes by 3 points, Baz Conley BOG.

Good luck all.

Huge day tomorrow at Casey:

Reserves: Ivanhoe looked fast, young and fit last week against a strong Kew outfit. I think they'll come out tomorrow and run St Marys off their legs. Ivanhoe by 3 goals (Walter to kick 5 and BOG)

Seniors: These two sides met two weeks ago and to St Marys credit, they were fast off the blocks and Kew didn't respond well. I think Kew will have too much speed on the wings and flanks for St Marys. Kew to show the competition why they finished 1st with a 15 point win. Waters to kick 4 with a BOG effort!

Congratulations to both of the clubs for making the grand final and gaining promotion for next season.
Grand Final.
St Mary's Salesian - Kew

Well what a first quarter from the bears. Absolutely caught St Mary's off guard and were able to hold on from there. Tim allman back in the side no doubt made a huge difference to the structure regardless of his output.'
Great effort from a 17 year old Kyle margaritas to win the BOG.
Great game and well done to both teams!

Congratulations to Kew (ones ) and SMS (twos) on the weekend in their wins for their respective clubs. I only saw the first 1/4 of the ones as we headed back to Ivanhoe for some colds ones after our loss in the twos. Massive first 1/4 by the bears and clearly too hard to catch up from there.

In the two's we were simply out worked, pressured and played by a better team on the day. FACT. We picked a bad day to fumble and choose the wrong options, but much of that should be contributed to the great pressure SMS applied on our team. They were the best team all year and deserved the win as their best players got the job done - Evans, Buchanan and Murphy all very good with great support from Duerden and Pathirana - IMO.

We look forward to 2015 after an improved year in our ones and twos and our under 19's winning our first club flag in 27 years yesterday, but for now .....just a few more cans to celebrate another season past.
