COLLINGWOOD has identified the son of club legend Peter Moore as a father-son draftee, but fans will have to be patient.

 Darcy Moore, 16 and 196.5cm, will be eligible for the 2014 national draft and Magpies officials already are excited by what they have seen.


"Our recruiting team have been watching him quite closely for a while, and I think (recruiting chief) Derek Hine has quite a good opinion of him," Magpies football manager Geoff Walsh said.

The Roos also denied reports they had spoken to St Kilda about defender Jason Gram, and said Lachie Hansen, Matt Campbell and Gavin Urquhart were all likely to stick with the Roos despite being mentioned in trade dispatches.
But North has told rival clubs that Daniel Pratt is available if they want to make a deal.
Football boss Donald McDonald said he was bemused no one believed him when he said McIntosh was a required player.
"100 per cent he will be at North (next year)," he said.
"We can't wait to get him back in the side. He's been out all year with injury and he's raring to go next year. He's very much a required player.

What has that got to do with Darcy Moore?
 
The draft watch board is usually reserved for top age players.

You don't see any threads on Billings, McDonald, Scharenberg etc do you?

Let alone 16 year olds...

Leave it for the Collingwood board.

Watched Pies father-son prospect Darcy Moore play for Oakleigh Chargers today. He's very, very good. Marking ability was a class above.

Shifter was Correct in saying it’s When and not IF when we sign Moore.

He said he is a Top 5 Prospect and where pies would use a pick in the 12-14 Range

This is why I dont understand Eddies rant about academys. Collingwood are going to get a top 5 pick for 12-14, or possibly even less if other clubs dont bother bidding.

The academys work the same way, we can be forced to use high draft picks for the kids we spend 6 years developing and lose out on another kid from another state.

If Darcey is going to be the player hes touted to become it makes you wonder a bit.

Well you don’t get Father and Sons each year but with Academies that Northern State Sides can have some every year

And if they are as good as everyone seems terrified they will be then we wont have any draft picks, they'll all be spent on Academy kids.
