Yes. My wife is unimpressed when I put a warm one in the freezer. And well, forget about it. Worse things happen at sea was my response last time.

I went the freeze option this time! Lucky I was desperate, there was no chance of forgetting.

Depends on the beer. A good dark Ale or stout can basically drunk at room temperature - a red ale or a bitter, well, keep it in the bottom of a cool closed cupboard during winter. Pale Ales - whether APA or IPA - your choice. You really only need to chill the kolsch's, pilseners or lagers (ie almost all Australian mass-produced beers).

Oh, and the wet tea-towel in the freezer trick mentioned above is the quickest way to bring the temp down.
