Saw the trailer for Legacy of the Void and got a bit excited, reinstalled Starcraft 2 and started laddering again, so haven't played Dota for about a month. It's a nice change to play a game where winning/losing is based on how well you do and isn't affected by terrible pub team-mates. Probably will still play the occasional game with friends every now and then.

Yeah still play it sometimes, just against bots though, can't be bothered playing online it's too broken now.

Valve has killed the game with the last couple of patches also this PA thing is crap and in game advertising.

7 months clean.

Still sometimes feel like another hit every now and then though. But the number of awesome games I've played, and need to play since giving up DOTA is enough to keep me at bay.

You've always only played against bots. I don't know how you can stand it.

I play online sometimes but now yeah it's all bots. Wasn't always that way, I used to play exclusively with friends in lan but none of them really play anymore.

I found online to be pretty shitty, only a few good games, i dunno maybe I should give it more of a go.

Once you get into 4k+ the games get a little better. Anything below that is pain. I'd like to get to 5k and see the difference, but I'm not good enough to make it there without playing far too much.

Still playing quite a bit, and putting a lot of effort into defensive supports (Dazzle, omni, treant etc)

Would love to get back into the 4k bracket, but i'm struggling to play according to the new patch. The return of 4 protect 1 line up dented the early roams I used to run with and snowballing is much more difficult with glyph being refreshed after each T1 is taken. Doing a bit better now than a fortnight ago where i went on a losing bender because of the refusal in picking medusa/spec/void.

I can notice the difference playing with mates at 3k and 4k (im 3500). Completely different game sense.

On another note. YouPorn are sponsoring a Spanish DotA 2 team.

Hit 4k, and heading towardo 4.1. Would be on a 20 game winning streak if not for one game
Damn man that's some serious ranking. I find it hard to progress, it's very difficult to get a decent team at low ranks so you get dragged back. Team rank is much better cos my mates can actually play :)

Still love the game 100%

You play with your skill level. If you improve your MMR will improve. If your team-mates are crap, then you are crap. Was the hardest thing for me to accept early on in order to start improving.

You're correct of course, don't get to practice as much as the addiction wants me too lol.

Think I've called it a day. The community is toxic, metagame is s**t with the same old troll, sniper, juggernaut picks every game and even pro games now are boring to watch. I'll watch TI5 but after TI4 I'm not expecting much.
The L.O.L is much more toxic, ive jumped off both. Have just got into Heroes of the storm beta. Seems ok at the moment, def needs more polish (of course is in beta) is a bit different but ok.
