Shame about the City/Chelsea timeslot.

Hoping for a decent hit out against Southampton at home. I thought our performance was actually OK against Chelsea, think we can get the win here.

Keen to keep banking points while we are relatively fit and in decent form.

Want to see Montero start, has electric pace, hard to dislodge Routledge at the moment though who is going quite well.

I'm picking a Newcastle win this week, think they'll bounce back.

Aarons out for 6 weeks, most hostile protest in a long long time planned during the game, and a Hull side that is now scoring goals pretty freely.

Are certainly up against it that's for sure.

haha, facts don't point to a good performance do they SM.

Just a feeling.

Luckily for you, my feelings are almost exclusively wrong.

I do think it will be a really fascinating result no matter the outcome, so really looking forward to it.

Can't wait for this! Think we will definitely be more attacking than our games against city last season but in saying that our defence needs to improve from the past few weeks.

Rodgers has to earn his money for this game, he's made a few wrong decisions this season, things haven't worked the past two games, defense is leaky and attack is static. West Ham's gonna battle and be direct like they always do, he's gotta set the team up properly

It's either Markovic/Lallana to play or Borini, would lean towards a 4-3-3 again since it's away from home, West Ham will probably go at us a bit for the 1st half so it'd give us a chance with Markovic's pace on the break

If Skrtel's available I'd play him for Lovren, but Rodgers would probably drop Sakho instead

We will play the exact same team as midweek in the exact same system and lose.

And then we will play a totally different team and system in midweek and look like a million bucks.

And then we will go back to what we had before and get smashed again.

******* Wenger.

Arsene knows best.

Glad we are playing Sunday night, I've had one day off in the last couple of weeks & my only day off in the next week and a half is Monday. We better not play like s**t a few days after a Europa match haha

Need to get the win here, won't be easy but can't afford to have a nice showing and then back it up with a loss.

Expecting to see

Will Jose bring the bus out again like he normally does when playing away to one of the top dogs?

Or will he back his team to beat them...will be interesting, I have a feeling he will play it safe and it will be a tight contest

Last time we played City @ the Etihad (league) we outclassed them with pace, skill and most importantly desire. Let's hope for a similar performance this time 'round.

Luckily for you, my feelings are almost exclusively wrong.

I'm hoping you're wrong - as funny as it is, hoping for a (big hopefully) Hull win.

For the neutrals looking for a reason to watch this one:

"Newcastle United supporters are planning to unveil hundreds of banners calling for the sacking of Alan Pardew, the manager, during the game against Hull City on Saturday, in what would be one of the biggest demonstrations of its kind in English football.

As well as printing 200 anti-Pardew banners, the group have also produced 15,000 A4 cards calling for Pardew to be dismissed and are confident that they will be able to take them into the stadium." (SackPardew organisers have since said it's 30,000 A4 cards due to an unexpected flood of donations...).

Here's hoping Mike Ashley gets the message. If nothing else, more free advertising for the greedy grub!

I could be wrong Alan but maybe the fact we've won 5 games in 2014 (from 24 games), failing to score in 16 of them while conceding 48 (with a GD of -31) might have something to do with it.

Are they? Did you catch their formation against us away from home?
