Toast Eric MacKenzie is Beast

Because he can actually take contested marks, stop all the best forwards in the league, attacks from fullback, is a back line general, kicks the occasional goal, all things foreign to Rance from what I have seen who is an undersized panic merchant. 39 goals against is simply false, don't know where the Richmond panel members plucked that from.
I actually heard that jackovich was the main selector pushing rance into the team over mackenzie as he sees mackenzie up close...

made the last 2 finals series though, no point looking at history from 10 - 20 or 30 years, i prefer to look at the last couple of years. where have the eagles finished compared to richmond?
Watch the next couple of years and see us power past you, we're building you're stagnating in your usual mediocrity with a team full of crabs. You won't even see the dust.

Jako is a strange man, seems to feel he has to attack those who nourished and nurtured him to show that he isn't biased, maybe he didn't like the way he was pushed out. What does Rance have to be in the team, can he take a pack mark, is he not an undersized panic merchant, how many goals were kicked against him?

I'm not here to defend rance's selection, he was selected as the centre half back and he's selection was not a controversial one. Bad luck to mackenzie... maybe next year...

Good performance in the final. What a disgrace and a joke. Even you would have thought that. May as well not have played that final and just given it to PA.
No arguing we weren't up to port adelaide on the day however baby steps my friend baby steps... much happier we made it and turned our season around from 3-10 into another final. Getting beat like that from port does not hide the fact exactly where we are at however all our top players are still fairly young so i'm confident we can improve over the next few years. As for the eagles, i have seen nothing over the last couple of years that tells me next year or the year after are going to be any better for you.

I have no idea why you are here? 'He's' selection does seem pretty controversial actually, with Richmond supporters obviously being the only ones to say he outright deserved it.

Just stating your blindness.

Casual reminder that West Coast have won two more finals than Richmond this decade, and have won the same number of finals in the last two years.

no need for us to say anything, he was selected... mackenzie was not... Rance is the 2014 All Australian centre half back... say it a few times so you can understand that fact and let it sink in.

As well as the AA selectors. The ones who count.
No doubt Mackenzies had a good year, there are plenty of hard luck stories. I hope he goes well next year as well. Maybe a bit of downer against us though.

No doubt, have no problem with Rance being selected, he had a pretty good year. We've seen in the past how much the AA selections mean anyway.

From the 5-6 WCE games I saw, I thought MacKenzie was playing at the level of an AA season myself, you guys have every right to feel a bit hard done by.

I would've liked to see them go with an extra KPD this year instead of a lockdown medium defender (which is an easier role to play).

You guys probably haven't seen much of Rance this year, but he really did deserve his spot equally as much as MacKenzie would have deserved one.

Personally I thought Rance was very good in the games i saw of him too. I think the reason many eagles fans are so aggrieved by him getting in over emac is that he only played 17 home and away games, whereas emac played 22. I think in the case of ablett, he is so superior to the competition you could argue he still deserved to make it despite missing 7 games. I'm not sure you can say the same about Rance, and that his 17 games could outweigh emac's 22. I just don't think the quality could have been so different to make the difference.

Richmond. Where making the finals and getting your arsed handed to you or getting beaten by 9th = Success.

No wonder the club is the joke of the competition. Go microwave some more memberships.
