Drawn against Buxton (tier 7) at home.
As Manchester City are at home that day.
Our game has a TBD game time. Either Friday 7:45pm or Sunday 3pm.

Still waiting on word on that. A month or so ago we had to change this weekends kickoff time for the same reason but we're trying to get that changed with the counvil.

Drew 1-1 at home then won 2-0 away.
Next up, away to some midlands team from the 9th tier of the Engilsh football system.
Lowest ranked team remaining in the cup.

Should be a breeze. Game is next weeknd.
Win and we're into the FA Cup proper for the 2nd time in our existence :)

The fixtures of the 4th Qualifying Round, where the Conference National League Premier teams enter:

Lowest ranked team is the only 9th tier team remaining in Sporting Khalsa of the Midlands Premier League Premier Division. There are still six 8th tier teams remaining.

I have to be honest, but this is where I feel the competition starts to get serious. 5th Tier clubs are in another level these days in comparison to those below, and with more money, it's only going to be even tougher. If you get the win here, you will get a five figure sum for your hard work, so these lower clubs will really benefit if they can pull off another upset (I think Rushen and Diamonds has the best chance out of those smaller clubs).

We're getting there, the FA Cup is about to hit its full swing soon enough.

Forest Green Rovers still in it as well NUFC Tiger

Yeah! Scraped in with a 2-1 win over Margate I think? Hopefully can get a favourable draw but I guess getting knocked out early wouldn't be too bad if it means we focus on the league and promotion.

FC United v Chesterfield FA Cup First Round match - club statement

Getting to the first round of the FA Cup is a significant achievement for the club and its players.

FC United has been informed by the FA that our home FA Cup First Round Proper tie against Chesterfield FC has been selected to be broadcast live television and that it will take place on Monday 9 November 2015 with a kick off time of 7.45pm. Under competition rules the minimum adult ticket price for a first round match is £10.

When we were informed of this, the FC United board contacted the FA to inform them of our views, outlining the club’s historical opposition to changing kick off times from their traditional slots as this can be inconvenient to fans and detrimental to the match-day atmosphere. We also referred the FA to resolutions passed by FC United members regarding changing fixture times which instruct our Board to take this inconvenience and the following guiding principles into account when deciding whether to accept an invitation to move a game to be shown on TV:

1. The time of kick off proposed.
2. The travelling times involved for the fans (FC fans for away matches, opposition fans for home matches).
3. The impact of a no decision on the other club.
4. The benefits to our club to be derived from this exposure.
5. The impact of any additional money in helping the club achieve its aims.

Furthermore, our recent survey of members gives further guidance to the board if games have to be moved for whatever reason. If games have to be moved then members expressed a clear preference, with Friday evenings, then Sundays being the favoured days with other days receiving very little support. Out of all the options, Mondays are potentially the most punitive for supporters. Monday is a working day as is the following day and Monday night football is a TV invention.

While recognising that TV is important to football, the club also has a stated pledge to seek to change football for the benefit of supporters, without whom the game would not exist. Having considered the club’s stated views on this issue as expressed democratically by members, the Board of FC United of Manchester has refused to agree with the move our FA Cup 1st round game against Chesterfield to Monday 9 November 2015.

The FA has responded this morning to inform us that they insist on the game being moved according to the FA Cup competition rules and therefore we have no option but to hold the match on the Monday evening at 7.45pm. We are deeply disappointed by the FA’s stance and have made them aware of this.

FC United has a proud history of campaigning for change on issues affecting the game and its supporters. The history of that protest has always been about respect for the integrity of the game and not disrupting the match or players. In that spirit, on this issue we believe that we need to make a stand. Protesting at the moving of this match to a Monday is a continuation of the campaign against kick off times and ticket prices supported by fans of clubs in this country and abroad. Most notably FC Bayern Munich fans spent the first five minutes of their recent Champions League game against Arsenal ‘below stairs’ before taking their place in the stands.

A similar protest at Broadhurst Park is not practicable on health and safety grounds as there is nowhere for fans to congregate safely although there is still much we can do.

FC United recognises that there is an inevitable price to be paid for TV but we believe that the stick has been bent too far and it is right that we take a stand on this issue.

FC United’s usual price is £9. If the minimum adult price of £10 is applied, FC United will be issuing a £1 voucher to all adult ticket holders that they can spend on food and drink or merchandise at the ground. This offer will be extended to away supporters. FC United will pick up this cost and this will not affect the division of gate receipts with Chesterfield FC.

The match against Chesterfield will be an all-ticket game. Full details will be announced later today on our website.

I feel a little bad for disagreeing with the club, but for my own selfish reasons, **** YES!
Game is live into Australia on ESPN :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Though, I do like what the club is doing. We charge 9 quid to games. FA forces 10 quid for admission. Club decides then to offer everyone who turns up to the game a 1 quid voucher to use on drinks/food.

Thoughts on what? The voucher?

Well done. It'll cost the club a few thousand quid so I won't criticise them for it.

On the Monday night game?

I thought a club like FC might forego the TV money and play the game on a Saturday afternoon like their members want.

I guess they've got to pay for those vouchers somehow.

I've been coming back to see people's thoughts on that.
in particular from Fryer Tuck and moomba :)

I was about to post up the results for the qualifying round along with the fixtures for the first round.

I guess you have also learnt that Sporting Khalsa is a Fully Sikh team as well.

I'm in line with Moomba's thoughts about both issues. But if I was a member of FC, I'd probably tell them to keep the change. It's only a pound, and if the fellow fans feel the same way. That's decent money for a non-league team, especially one that is fan owned. I appreciate the sentiment that the club has offered.

As for the TV money. The board have tried their best, unfortunately the FA won't have any of it. Of course, it means you can watch FC live though, and they will get the cost of the vouchers back, and maybe a little extra. All good for the club, it shows that they still have their core beliefs intact and they're not going to let greed get the better of them. Of course, since they would arguably be one of the more notable non-league teams, you can expect a fair bit of attention would be on them given the right circumstances, so expect more of this conflict in the future (provided they haven't deterred the FA or the league from giving them TV games in the future.)

we've been averaging 3,100 to crowds this year, but I think this will still meet capacity (4,000)
so that's really just 4,000 quid we lose out on.
But the payout for being on is 67,500.

What I'll be interested in is if we advance 2 games and get Arsenal @ Arsenal or something.
Will the club cover the cost of 9 quid up to 40 or whatever we'd have to spend?

I think with the split revenue we'd probably even consider it then.
Will be intriguing what we do in games to come (if we advance)

67.5k? Well, there you go. That's pure gold for a Tier 6 team.

The Arsenal game would certainly be interesting if you do make it that far (You've got Chesterfield, the bang-on average of League 1, so it will be tough). Wait, the 9 pounds also covers away games at bigger clubs? Now I'm not entirely sure on FC United's record on playing League Clubs in serious matches, but has the club historically refunded the fans if the away team offers a price that is more than the 9 pounds? (Surely it wouldn't be 40 pounds for a League Cup game at Arsenal, especially for a lower league team. Then again, I wouldn't be the one to know that answer).

Alright, the results of the Fourth Qualifying Round is as follows:
upload_2015-10-30_11-4-8.png

A shoutout to SM, North Ferriby the only side to be tragically bundled out in penalties, losing 8-7. Poor Russell Fry.

OK, onto the First Round for real! We will see the introduction of both League 1 and League 2 clubs:
upload_2015-10-30_11-13-35.png

Key:
TV - Live. (67,500 pounds per club)
TVO - Live Overseas. (6,750 pounds per club for Saturday, 12,500 pounds per club for Sunday)
TV1 - Live One Camera (One Camera follows the action around). (6,750 pounds per club for Saturday, 12,500 pounds per club for Sunday)
H - Highlights (6,750 pounds per club for Saturday, 12,500 pounds per club for Sunday)

Northwich Victoria and Didcot Town are the only Tier 8 clubs left as both of them host bigger clubs. Also note that Didcot gets live coverage while Northwich gets no coverage, good thing they're not direct rivals.

Yeah Ferriby had a rough time, sounds like they should have had a penalty late in the game but not to be. Second year in a row they've just missed out.

Few blasts from the past in that game. Danny Webber (the next big thing before Danny Nardiello was the next big thing), James Poole who came up through our academy. County had the likes of Roy Carroll, Alan Smith, Jon Stead.

And they kept crossing to some tramps in the crowd as well.

Pretty convincing win for Salford.
