Its a discussion forum!I don't see the point in complaining about things you have complete control over.
Well don't bother responding to me then!If everyone went on that logic, this place would fall apart in five minutes.
Sure, why wouldn't they? You gave them permission to when you signed up.Not facebook, but is somewhat off putting how Google tracks your movements if you have an account on your mobile and GPS turned on.

Facebook would do the same.
Or you could let him be curious about what he wants to be curious about?Or stop being so precious.
Thanks for that. That feature is actually a nifty feature for your own use, but like anything it will attract huge interest from marketing departments, and hence be worth big$. I'm wondering if you go to the same venue at the same time on the same day, and if Facebook would suggest a friend who goes to the same location at the same time. Thinking about it, thats not actually a bad thing. Not facebook, but is somewhat off putting how Google tracks your movements if you have an account on your mobile and GPS turned on.

If you only cancelled your account nothing was deleted. If you deleted your account, only some things get deleted. Given the value of personal data, and the way governments are constantly working to make sure IT companies keep and make available more and more of it I would be surprised if deleting an account deleted any personally identifiable data.It makes me think they have a database linking my mobile number, to all friends in the past, with old accounts that used the same mobile number.
