I suspect based on Bucks' rhetoric that Fas will not be down back for long, especially once The Seed, Williams, Sincs are ready to go. I also think that this stint will do wonders for his game further afield. What did he have last week, 22 touches to half time or something stupid?

We do seem to have plenty of options now. I disagree Seedsman is a lock. He wasn't last year and has a significant injury delay to this season. Think he will need to find a position now and it is not a given.

Totally. Of the people out of our 22 at the moment only Reid and Williams are locks. I wouldnt even be guaranteeing a spot to Brown at the moment. Things might change, and of course things will change, but while we are winning possession is nine tenths of the law.

He was originally a high production mid in u18s, long term could go back to that role very good ball user and good 1v1. But I think he is most needed as the sweeper across the back line mopping up and rebounding. Hodge like.

Has shown he can play forward and back. Inside and Outside mid in the future. He not to bad for a 21 year old who pretty much lost a year injured. Elite...

We've got a pretty good crop of under 25 mid prospects - Beams, Sidebottom, Fasolo are sure things in my book - plus a selection of Sharenberg, Kennedy, Freeman, Adams, Martin, Karnesis and Broomhead.

Will be interesting to see whether Williams and Sinclair come in at the expense of a guy like Langdon or Fasolo. What I like about the Langdon and Fasolo is that they have good footskills. Fasolo in particular was very damaging last week.

This must be a typo.

Decent article in The Age about Fasolo's move down back:
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-ne...-send-collingwood-forward-20140424-zqyk5.html

A few good quotes from Fas:

''Now that I'm a back, Maxy takes me in and goes, 'Don't you socialise with those forwards!' At training when we play forwards versus backs, I'm all for the backs. There's been the initiation process, I'm in there now.''

''For three years I was so used to getting the ball, turning, and the ground narrowing towards the goals. Now I get the ball and it's all in front of me, and with ball in hand I find that somewhat easier.''

''I think it's one of my strengths, the way I can use the ball. What makes Geelong and Hawthorn and Fremantle the teams they are, the top echelon, is their skill, and that's something we need to work on. Having me down back, and getting the ball in my hands, is good for my team.''

That's awesome. I'm wrapped to see he has that cockiness but selflessness at the same time. He is going to be a ripper for us for years to come! Great fit for the club!

He came to the bench with his boots still on so you would imagine its not nothing to do with his foot? Wouldn't he have strapping or be in a moon boot or crutches if it was his foot?
