Even in hot weather those big stouts go down a treat.
Agreed. I don't get it when people say stouts are cold weather only. Pigs' arse!

That said, it's probably harder to drink as many in hot weather though.

Once the hot weather kicks in I'll have to start grabbing some Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc. Coopers have recently started pumping it out, I tried it at a Beer and Cider Fest earlier in the year and while it's probably not for everyone it's a nice light (not in alcohol) drinking beer.
Hmm. I've heard that Kronenbourg is the French equivalent of VB?

Brilliant summery beer, their brown ale is also a cracker.
 
Tastes O.K. in France as does Heineken in the Netherlands.
The problem is that a. The imported stuff doesn't travel. b. The locally brewed makes it taste like cold water with alcohol.

when i was in the uk, back in 2000-02 i would drink either kronenbourg or stella and they tasted alright there.

actually didnt mind the slab of imported kronenbourg i got from aldi a couple months ago, if only for something different.
