Anyone who believes the (any) government will keep their word is a moron. It is touching a few on here get upset when they lie. Like a little kid who finally works out there is no Santa Claus.

Choice is either semi competent liars or incompetent liars.

This and education, pensions and health are the big lies so far.
Though, none of those have happened yet, nor been announced. So, they can't be "the big lies so far". It is likely they changes to pensions, education, health, etc will all be scheduled to happen in the years after the next election.

Including those who kept banging on about Gillard's broken carbon tax promise?

Wow i among others have been saying the same thing for the past five years on here, so glad you have seen the light.

How about core & non core promises?

Including those who kept banging on about Gillard's broken carbon tax promise?

Its not that she lied (who could possibly think the woman is honest?), it was the staggering stupidity of the policy. Ditto her personal involvement in the mining tax debacle.

Incompetent liar (at best)

So that makes the PM a competent liar.

Competent is a stretch. Less incompetent liar maybe. Governments exist on a scale of incompetence.

There is zero chance of Abbott and Hockey actually doing what should be done. New airport a surprise, been in the too hard basket for a long time. Perhaps there is a backbone there somewhere.

As I said competent liar.
Interesting you should comment on the airport. I watched the PM exclaim that the money spent on the airport roads etc were going to "Create jobs". All good IPA supporters will be utterly outraged at his keynesian outburst.

Who is putting up the cash for the airport? Rational people have got no issue with infrastructure with a tangible cost benefit ratio (roads typically have the best ratio of any infrastructure). Hardly commensurate with digging ditches and filling them in (school halls, green car). His comments re jobs were moronic. They cant help themselves.

Right so the the eventual owners of the airport will have got the tax payers to pay for the roads. The phone hackers will be beside themselves with rage tomorrow.
