Revote the 2022 WC, and give it to US!!! Am park would get a nice little upgrade, A new stadium in Adel would be built, new/upgraded stadium in Perth, money towards the new sydney stadium thing, slight upgrade to suncorp... win/win/win for everyone except those that dont want the country/soccer to move forward!

Trouble is, I don't think it's a case of a "nice little upgrade".

Wasn't it some ridiculous amount - almost the cost of originla construction? - to upgrade it to the right attandance for WC qualification?

Plus, has the Docklands contract re: "anoother stadium over a certain capacity" expired yet?

Only options would be US or UK. They wouldn't need to build anything and have all the supporting infrastructure in place.
Too hard to move the world cup to either of those countries politically imo.

Germany. The have everything necessary already, and they're the leader of the appease Russia movement within the EU

Russia at least have footballing history. Let them keep it.

Wouldn't make sense to take it off Russia now unless Putin really loses his s**t completely in the near future. Good stadiums and a perfect climate for a summer tournament are significant bonuses for a Russian world cup.

Jack Warner: Former FIFA vice-president investigated over missing Haiti funds, BBC reports

Former FIFA vice-president Jack Warner is being investigated over the disappearance of money intended for victims of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the BBC has reported.

Mr Warner visited the country in the months after the disaster and pledged $974,550 from football's world governing body and the South Korean Football Association to help rebuild the country.

But US investigators said it was transferred to accounts controlled by Mr Warner for his personal use, and that four years on, the money was still unaccounted for.

Jacky boy scamming earthquake victims as well, what a guy...

What a human being....

Also illegally occupying portions of two neighbouring states, and using forced convict labor in construction.

Cause South Africa, Brazil, China never did this

3 years is a fair way, if not much changes then Russia can hos. If Putin decides all out war on Ukraine then we may have a problem.

When I heard about Jack Warner (allegedly) siphoning off $5m for his supermarket chain, I could sort of write it off as yet another piece of this scandal, but taking the money meant for Haiti earthquake victims? He deserves jail for life if it's true. Scummy act is the nicest way to put it. An appropriate punishment might be deporting him to Haiti and leaving him there.
