Port Adelaide are very happy to welcome Cameron Giles to the Power. His defensive coach, Nathan Bassett, made this statement about him:

"Giles will be a very handy player for us, he's a good defender with great mobility. He gives us good depth in defence.

"Obviously it's sad Butch (key forward John Butcher) is leaving us but he'll have more opportunity at Carlton with the addition of Tippett to our forward line."

Rumour...

Carlton have reportedly shown interest in Tom Mitchell, when asked about it Carlton had this to say... "We don't want to have in any part in joining in with the media circus on Tom, its between Tom, his management & The Swans."

They were also asked about reported interest about Dangerfield, but they made no comment.

Brisbane are thrilled to receive the services of Dylan Buckley and Levi Casboult. Head coach Leppitch had this to say, "Im very happy to have the privilege to have these boys on my side and we are excited to receive such a talented key position player"

Port Adelaide are very happy to add Luke Lowden to their ruck stocks, as well as being a capable forward if need be. He provides depth for Ryder and Allows Frampton to develop his forward and ruck game at the Magpies.

Port are also looking to offload Paul Stewart for a draft pick after he left the club for greater opportunity.

Blaine Boekhorst: Weekly Social Media Rant
New Western Bulldogs player Blaine Boekhorst has blown up on social media after being labelled a "potential player". In this weekly rant from Blaine, he claims that the Western Bulldogs are not appreciating his talent and the cheap price they got it for.
"They are worst than Carlton!" claims Boekhorst, "I'm almost fed up with this nonsense, so I'm expecting the Bulldogs pay me the respect I deserve!" Just then Bulldogs assistant coach Luke Beveridge stormed into Luke's house to make sure he wasn't having any mental issues or suffering from big-headed-ness syndrome.

Asked at the press today if they were targeting an A grade midfielder Justin Leppitch left the door wide open, stating "There is a few on the market that we are currently targeting" When asked who they were Leppitch was unable to respond.

Are the Brisbane Lions targeting Sydney ball magnet Tom Mitchell or Adelaide star Patrick Dangerfield? Time will tell...

Dogs make trade, massive win for them
The Dogs would like to welcome Paul Stewart and Kane Mitchell to their club. The Dogs gain a lot of experience, sending of opportunity-deprived Zaine Cordy who has played just 2 games for the club. JT_The_Man_ claims Cordy was never in their future plans anyway. They do however lose the 49th pick of this years draft, which will be blamed for their eventual decline in years to come.

Port are ecstatic with the news Cordy has joined Port Adelaide along with pick 49. Defensive coach Nathan Bassett had this to say about his new charger:

"Zaine is a very exciting prospect for us in the future, he was excellent in the VFL throughout the year, covering his man quite well in most games. Where we want him to improve is in his offensive game, which he showed signs of doing against Geelong and Coburg.

"It is however disappointing to lose Paul (Stewart). He was experienced but he was behind too many players at Port now."

Midfield coach John Longmire made his first statement at the club:

"Losing Kane was disappointing, but he's going to greater opportunities at the Bulldogs. I do want to add to our midfield depth now, however."

The Lions are currently in need of a 'backup' ruckman who will play reserves but come in if Stefan Martin goes down.

Minson looking for fresh start
Former All-Australian player Will Minson is looking for a fresh start after struggling to get a game last season. The Dogs will accept close to anything for the sometimes troublesome ruckman.

The Lions are currently in need of a 'backup' ruckman who will play reserves but come in if Stefan Martin goes down.
Basically need Trent West :thumbsu:.

Trent West is not an option of our football club unfortunately. His attitude needs working on. He is now trade bait.
Fair enough.

Premiership players Heath Grundy and Mike Pyke have requested trades because of fear of losing their spots in the team through Lachlan Henderson and Mathew Loone respectively, both going pretty cheap

Brisbane admit they are disappointed to miss out on Tom Mitchell, Head coach Justin Leppitch had this to say "Im disappointed that we missed out on Tom (Mitchell) but that is just football"

The Blues are ecstatic with the recruitment of Tom Mitchell. After chasing him for so long they're excited that he's finally going to be suited up in the Navy Blue. In other news Bryce Gibbs is floating around in the trade room, Carlton have denied the claim.
