Reporter: How are you liking the list you have to work with Mr Alfie?

Alfie: Yeah the list isn't to bad at the moment, we have a lot of new blood coming through so it is going to take awhile for team chemistry to build up and for us to be the #1 contender so im not to concerned just yet.

Reporter: With round 1 fastly approaching who is pressing for a selection?

Alfie: Young Conner Blakely has been tearing it up on the training track so far, hes been spending alot of time with David Mundy asking questions and trying to learn the best he can the kid has the desire to build a strong AFL career.

Alfie: Alright guys ive got to get back to the office and select my Round 1 team to face the Magpies, stay tuned...

Alfie: Ive chosen 2 debutants for this weekends game in Alex Pearce and Connor Blakely, My Line up is extremly small so im hoping that we can run them of there feet and take the game away in the midfield, its pretty much an Experimental lineup to test everyone out but hopefully we come out with a win and if not hopefully we dont get absolutely slaughtered. The boys have been tearing up the track so lets hope they show it on the day.

Best: Walters,Pavlich,Sandilands,Fyfe,Blakely
Best: Cloke,Elliot,Pendelbury,Swan,Sidebottom

Today we were absolutely destroyed by a rampant Collyingwood side our midfield was just getting slaughter and couldn't get the ball out even with big Sandilands having 41 hit outs, we were just getting beaten to it by the opposition, We did have a shining light with Conor Blakely making a presence though, the young gun had 41 minutes game time but did he use it wisely racking up 17 disposals 4 marks and 6 tackles. Im hoping the boys can make up for this week and come back hard next week and bring in the 4 points.
