Wow, that's horrible news. I've always thought the people who stand in the middle of the track to see what's coming or on the outside of the exit of a bend were nuts but figured picking a sensible place to stand should be safe. Sometimes watching motorsport, you can just be unlucky.

Speaking of being fricken nuts and motorsport, the Isle of Man TT is on at the moment. Michael Dunlop won the Superbike TT with Kiwi Bruce Anstey recording the lap record (a 132mph lap) to finish fourth. Aussies, Josh Brookes and Dave Johnson had impressive runs to finish 10th and 12th respectively.

If you can handle the odd delay (there may've been a crash or running behind time) and that sometimes it's awkward to get a really good spot, I highly recommend spectating at a Rally

Went go kart racing the other week. Track was in a mallee forest. You screwed up, you ended up rapped around some mallee. It's not good to think about how the cart you're trying to overtake happens to touch wheels with yours, someones going to flip into the trees.These were 150cc 4 speed manual.

It's about the zone. the tunnel. All you see is apex's. Its astounding how everything outside of the track becomes a blur and you just concentrate on going faster. The go pro footage is whats scary, big drifts around fast corners with tree after tree flashing by. One rock...........

At the end of the straight we're doing about 90, first ten laps your heart flutters as you go for the breaks, after that you think nothing of it.

Generally all this saftey crap in motorsport only achieves softcocks like alien Prost winning.
