With Savage now (finally!) confirmed as coach of Launy, does that give Clarence a bigger need for a tall forward like Gill?
I heard North Hobart have made a big play to get him to the D's. Who will win the battle to get him?
    Has anyone heard about this?
Any other news on recruits, or losses anywhere else for that matter?

Looks like Jesse wells is off to the sandringham zebras in the VFL. With the clubs in current talks over transfer fees and what not! Wonder what north are asking! Considering he just won the b an f and had a top year! Wonder what they would offer to try get him to stay! North in trouble by the sounds of it!

Of course Hobart and North Hobart will have trougle signing and retaining players. AFL Tas has basically said the clubs have no future. Why would anyone want to go to a club that AFL Tas have targeted for oblivion.
Hobart and North Hobart are Wade's Fitzroys, he and his cronies have decided to kill them off and running the clubs down at every opportunity is part of that.

Murph is in WA. Train is in cairns yes. Like you said the other 2 are unconfirmed. As far as i know Streety hasnt retired, was at the first 3 sessions, and Claude was trying to convince an ex-north bloke to come back to the club 2 weekends ago, be a bit weird doing that if he was at hutchins?

Pretty confident streety has retired. Wells 50/50, Alright 90% sure he will be playing in Melbourne.
Also heard Adrian Williams heading back to QLD.

Claude has been playing in the 9 a side comp for Hutchins, captain of one of the sides i do believe. But yes, i know that doesn't mean he is playing there.

would be a hard trying to sign players to your club, when you know they will be merging the following year.

Does he like brown paper bags?
There seems to be a lot of the TSL clubs are having troubles with getting players to training? Is it a sign of the times or is this the comp wade and co created by getting rid of the reserves? Apparently North Launy had 9 on the track last week and Clarence of all clubs have been getting round the 20 mark most nights. Is old scholars, sfl and ntfl the comps to play in now?

Hensby wasn't upto tsl level, good at a lower level, Swan I always thought was a bit of a battler but has made tsl team of the year in previous years. Don't think he had that good a year this year. Think he was injured with a hammy most of it.

Article in todays Mercury regarding TSL player movements, if you are intrested.

FOR the TSL, it is peak hour in the silly season, with rumours flying left, right and centre.
Clubs have either resumed or are about to resume pre-season training following the Christmas-New Year's break and coaches will be desperately trying to locate stars and confirm playing lists.
At North Hobart, midfielder Zane Murphy is working in Western Australia and will make a decision on his playing future based on employment.
If he lands in Hobart, he will be lining up with the Demons again.
Demons key forward Zeke Gardam has not been seen at pre-season. All the talk is he will be lining up with SFL premier New Norfolk in 2013.
But big Jesse Wells is in tip-top shape, having competed in the athletic events at the Christmas carnivals.
With former Adelaide key forward Nick Gill, the Demons will have two massive units to build their team around.
Former Clarence captain Nick Paine will have a delayed start to the season after undergoing ankle surgery and may have to come through one of the Roos' feeder teams such as Old Scholars team OHA. But at this stage he is determined to play on in the TSL.
His teammate, former Geelong and North Melbourne utility and 2012 skipper Cameron Thurley, is also making a comeback from knee surgery that ended his finals campaign last year but has resumed running.
Kingborough ruckman Russell de Groot is training with the Roos, as is Hutchins premiership key forward Hamish Kingston.
Out at KGV, Glenorchy ruckman-forward Ben Brown is still weighing up an offer from VFL club Werribee, but Magpies 2009 grand final forward Marcus Parker has returned after three seasons with St Virgil's in the Old Scholars and will give the Pies another forward option.
Lauderdale utility Darren Garth has returned to SFL club Huonville, with the travel factor too much to bear for a second season.
The Bombers are hopeful their big man stocks will be fixed with the return to fitness of ruckman Haydn Smith.
Smith has already lost a stack of weight and is on target for a return to the seniors as a virtual new recruit.
Last season's big improver South Launceston might suffer a big blow, with 2012 Tassie Medallist runner-up Michael Musicka trying out with VFL club Bendigo, a stand-alone club this year.

Big Russell de Groot is looking sharp on the track, so don't be to surprised if you see him playing seniors round 1. Thurley should hopefully be playing Round 1 aswell, also Jeromey Webberley has began running aswell after some off season surgery.

Nothing said about Hobart!. They have Charlesworth back from Qld & I'm told some of their players from 2011 have come back. Does anyone know who? Also Lemm back after a knee reco.
Will Kingborough get any of their players who have gone to other TSL clubs back for next year when they join the TSL?
    Any news from northern clubs?
Last seasons big improver was not South Launy. Surely that was Lauderdale, by a long way IMO.

Well its in the paper this morning. Must be lots of cash up at the TCA:p.
I see Ben Brown is off to Werribee from Glenorchy. It really shows how poor the TSL has become despite what AFLTas might say. We really are at rock bottom here. We cant keep our bestyoung players, we cant recruit any mainland good players like we use to see, We are now in a play off to get into the foxtel cup. We have to pay millions to get a few 2nd rate AFL games. Wheer is it all headed?
