Gee Duck would have plenty to offer on what Patton is or isnt doing right.

But predictions of an organisational no longer being feasible with a timeline to go with it?

He could definitely give the General sage advice and an informed critique, but his character is so lacking depth you'd never know if there was an agenda, and yeah stuff all organisational genius displayed to date :)

In laymans term, the Duck should stick to how the game is played and not thinking he has the Administrative nous to scope the future of the AFL landscape.

No doubt, when he talking footy, specifically, about being out there in the thick of it and what it takes to win a game of footy, the Duck is fantastic, but if he steers away a little bit too much from there, it's generally not pretty.

Having said that, he has a few yarns, and can sometime surprise by being genuinely funny.

Jon Ralph's article about yesterday's game.

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl...adium-in-round-1/story-e6frf3e3-1227292187230

Title of the article should have been "It's All About St Kilda"

The team that won the game gets three paragraphs:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Because we spoiled it for the Melbourne strugglers.

Doggies and Dees win. Saints were meant to do it for Roo, and for the VFL battlers. But it's Easter and St Nick is the Christmas Saint. We're just the flash plastics who are the designated villain for why these clubs have failed to win a Premiership for 40+ years of our non-existence.

It could have been worse; it could have been why Treloar hasn't signed yet.

(sorry, forgot. That's Tuesday's article)

Wouldn't expect any different from Ralphy:

You can still follow him? He blocked me ages ago. I kept calling him out on his obvious bias against us - and his over-use of "as well" while on Fox Footy. The guy is an over-blinking flogtard.

Nothing we don't know about Callan, but nice to see the gospel being spread..

Callan Ward
It would seem Callan Ward is one of the more reserved captains, or players for that matter, in the AFL. He’s not flamboyant, classy or even one of those characters out on the field. But from the first to the final siren, Ward is usually the most aggressive, tough, hard at the footy, gutsy player out on the ground.

Media is quick to use the F-word.
GWS managed only nine wins across their first three years in the competition.

But a maiden finals berth looms this year following the team's hot 3-1 start to the season.

We're only 4 rounds in and a long slog to go. Especially these next few weeks

This just shows why managers that actually care about their players will not advise the younger ones to sit through a season of this pressure. It will only get more intense and start impacting their game. I think we'll see some announcements quite soon.

We really have only beaten the Saints, Demons and Suns. All not great. This next 4 to 5 weeks will be telling
The next two weeks will definitely show where we are at what our expectations should be for the season IMO.

Saints and Melbourne have been spritely to start the season, we got the wins against them in which could have been an awkward start to the season.

Lost to Sydney by 20 points, not too bad.

Gold Coast have been the weakest team and again we can roll over the teams we should.

Confidence would be high and that is what I think has been lacking in these first years.

Treloar had a shocker against the Eagles, possibly his worst game for the club. Maybe the media attention and the contract stuff is starting to have an effect.

Any news what Tim Lane said or wrote today to get Lambo all fired up on Twitter tonight?

I asked him but no response yet, and nothing on The Age website?
