Sooo unlucky GeeCat

Congrats mate, reckon you've got me yet again :)

That's why all those regular season wins didn't do too much for me. I knew that if I was lucky enough to get into the Grand Final again it'd half be a lottery given how many players get rested in the final round - losing Rockliff, Franklin, Hodge, Suckling, Christensen, and Motlop to rest definitely didn't help me at all.

But congratulations, I think your depth across the board has been the key - said it last year when you beat me in the GF and I reckon the same holds true now - you've got a good spread compared to my Geelong-centric team! Back-to-back is some achievement!

Congrats again to sante ! Hopefully I can one-up you next season :)

Not that it affects the final result, but geez Russian that's a bit harsh replacing one of my outs with Smedts who only played one quarter as a sub instead of Thurlow! :p

Well that's probably the most lucky win anyone could have!

Back to Back is a pretty good feeling but I do feel I kind of won by default with Geelong's outs. I had a pretty poor finals series with some low scores across it.

Hopefully this continues into next year, I know Russian must struggle with time to fit this in amongst his actual life but fingers crossed the game lives on and I can attempt the 3-peat ;)

However you won it, you deserve your flag. You got to be in it to win it. You made the Grand Final and sometimes these things happen in real football too where the opposing team just loses a key player at wrong time. Premierships are won by the team that wins on the big day. With only two that can make it, luck would not have got you there. Fortune favoured you after being one of the two best teams for season, Enjoy it for the premiership it is because some other years you may have luck against you like your opposing coach did this time.
