Gtalk not loading?

I tried to start Gtalk up this morning but it just won't even load, no error problem, no window pops up, nothing I just get the error noise but see nothing.

I uninstalled, reinstalled but the same problem keeps happening, has anyone had this problem before?

Google Talk is now being ditched by Google.

Tried logging in today and it won't accept my credentials. Thought I'd reinstall it, so I uninstalled and went looking for the download. It is now unavailable from Google.

The new Hangouts system is rubbish. It seems to come only as a Chrome extension, for my Windows PC anyway.

Can still use from within Gmail while you're logged in but you're still chained to having a browser open and being logged in on a specific page.

Vale GTalk. I'll mainly stick to Skype from now on.
